Maybe I just need to not be so lazy and read the thread.
EDIT: What will MXO bring for a birthday present? An Elfs head in a box?
I like how this guy's mind works.
And I'm with Procurator: I'd imagine MxO's closure will be announced at Fan Faire. I've always believed that they'll pump us for our money until DCUO or the Agency came out... but I don't think this game even turns a profit now. So many have left/are leaving.

I reckon SOE are going to announce MxO's closure at Fan Faire, and there are probably a couple of people in SOE stupid enough to think that's a good idea too. But when the press hear about it, they'll rail against SOE proper. No matter that they'll barely have heard of MxO; the story of a (comparatively) small group of players going to Fan Faire only to hear their game is to be shut down (in front of jeering players from other games) will get attention, and isn't going to reflect well on the powers that be.
Yup, invite us to Vegas to dump us
To paraphrase Morpheus, that sounds exactly like the thinking of the Machines SOE.

Indeed this will be my last year too i think... altho I still haven't gotten any word on my vacation >.<
There is a possibility my workplace will prohibit all employees' oversea trips due to H1N1. Such a thing often occurs in Japan. In addition, I may have to train a new employee in June.
I want to meet MxO people, including the Assassin, even if SOE gives us no MxO stuff. It may be the last chance for MxO players. If Lady Luck smiles on me, I will be able to join. If not, ...
If SOE won't give us any MxO events at FanFaire, then I say we make our own.
Picture this:
The large room is crowded with people, some dressed in standard slacker attire while others are dressed more peculiarly in the raiment of some imagined fantasy creature. There is a general buzz in the room as everyone discusses the upcoming revelations they are about to glean from the developers of their beloved Everquest MMO. The lead Dev gets up and approaches the microphone casually, with a small hint of a smile on his face. He is obviously enjoying the attention, as all eyes are on him and a hush falls across the room, when suddenly. . .
The doors all around the room bust open, each entrance admitting three rough-looking people dressed in various black leather, nylon, and latex garb. They are carrying a variety of weapons (loaded with blanks of course) that glint in the reflection of their uniform black sunglasses. Every head in the room whips around to stare at the dangerous newcomers, wondering if there is a threat present that must be fleed from.
One of the black-clad men, a large black man with a bald pate, steps forward and fires his gun at the ceiling. He speaks, his loud voice calm but firm, "Everyone remain in your seats and stay calm. We are only here for one of you. This person is about to wake up to the reality of this world, and it is our job to protect her. She has found no solace in this world, no rest, because even when she sleeps, she is awake. She wants to know why. She wants to know . . . what is the Matrix?"
He stops in front of a young woman in the crowd, looking at her intently. "Her name is Sarah Edmontons," he says with a voice that seems to be cut from stone. The woman stands to face him, no fear evident in her face or manner. It is as if she has been expecting this. The people sitting at her table seem to cower away from the two of them.
Then, from one of his companions still near the doors, comes a cry, "We've got company!"
"Agents?" another asks. But before the response can come, shouting erupts in the room as people scramble away from three men who seem to have both already been in the room, but also seem to suddenly have appeared. The cries are coming from the frightened Everquest players who are trying to escape the three suit-clad men who have just pulled massive hand cannons from their jackets. The men simultaneously touch their earpieces, as if they are receiving instructions.
Before the Agents can move, however, the other fighters attack in a flurry of martial arts kicks and punches. They are all fury and fight, a look of desperation on their faces. The bald man grabs the young woman in front of him by the hand and slings her towards his nearest companions. "You must get her out of here! Get her to the safehouse!" he yells, and then turns his attention to the nearest Agent.
They take the girl and run out, with Agents in pursuit. The black-clad group disappears after them, leaving a bewildered group of video game players behind. . .

Unless I am mistaken no Rarebit = No fanfaire exclusive item this year?
Ra2za wrote:
thus it's should be better this way so people will just go for the purpose of meeeting fellow players and not just for the item alone. I think.
Less money for SOE, yay!
Gerik wrote:
Indeed Buddy... Now GO finish this:
If anything, no Rarebit = same item as last year.
But I am still not positive on that.
dont pipe up oftern but that would be a total slap in the face. if it comes to it atleast tap a more intresting item like an fm1500. youd sure get alot of micro transactions going on, on that one.
