Well regardless lets look at the basics, MA = mainly hand to hand combat. A gunner will naturally have the edge as they don't require to be in IL, although when OoIL a gunner can have difficulty hitting with a special especially if the MA is using hyperdodge and high ball defence. A MA can easily, it seems, string a row of specials which inflicts major damage to a gunner whilst in IL. The Max base damage for a pistol is what 15? only they've yet to arrive so unless you have a FM-1500 the max currently is 14 (I think) If MA base damage is 15 because of their level and non-dependance of equipment, and can freefire punches and kicks to someone already in IL then having the lvl 50 weaponry is only fair.
Not to say that the MA tree shouldn't be looked at but keeping it realistic, I think that the best way of giving MA's a chance would be for them to naturally have an easier time to break peoples shields apart from Hackers...

What Vinia means is a gunner is only as good as their guns, and the level 50 Rifles we have now break too easily, the pistols and SMGs have accuracy debuffs. If you want Ehanced we have to take a damage decrease.
All trees have got a bum deal when it comes to range attackers (and without 2 Hypers it only got worse) but it isn't like MA isn't protected from ranged attacks, take a look at the Area K for a start.
