I think you'll be able to go down as far as Extreme Falling Kick at least.

If you don't load any Awakened abilities you can go for full Duelist and and full Kung Fu with the exception of the Grandmaster ability, or vice versa, full Kung Fu GM without the Duelist ability. Don't load any abilities that cause the same effect, like 2 moves that both cause powerless or such, and it's possible to have space left for Awakened abilities.
The level 50 abilities take up 5 spaces of your memory, which is quite a lot. The 5 tactics both abilities grand ain't everything so it might be wise to not load them and have room left for other abilities.

But why don't you load SMG and Kung Fu, or Aikido and Duelist? Considering that some SMG and Kung Fu moves need the opponent to be dazed. As does Aikido and Duelist, both have some moves that require the state off-balanced.

It's possible to mix them and have loads of moves in each tree. Try varieties of loadouts in game with different moves, with or without Awakened abilities, to see what works best for you.

I run a Duelist/Kung Fu loadout.

My recommendation is to go fully down the Duelist tree, and go down to Extreme Falling Kick on Kung Fu.

While Duelist/Aikido is a good loadout, I prefer Kung fu/ Duelist just because of the fact that you can drop your opponents CT by 70 via a combination of Specials that can be used one after the other, due to their being on different tiers.

You lead off with Pistol Aerial, Duel Pistol Execution, and Misdirect Punch.  Keep that up, and the fight is yours.  They don't have a chance.

The best part about this game is that we can customize our loadouts.

Duelist + Kung Fu = Good moves, EFK for disarm, powerless, and sometimes enraged works good. Misdirect punch causes blinded for greater CT loss

Duelist + Karate = Sky High Sidekick for damage resistance loss, Sidekick Combo for high rolls and a chance of stun, and some other fun stuff.

Duelist + Aikido = GREAT moves, Tomo Nage for hefty damage and Punch Reversal for high rolls.

Those are all I ever use with Duelist.  With Rifleman I load up karate for Sidekick combo. But I don't use SMG specialist by itself all that much.
