Termination of terrorist Andromeda confirmed - Syntax - 7/12/06

The terrorist Andromeda, one of the renegade Anome's top lieutenants, was terminated yesterday outside of Club Janus after a long pursuit by operatives throughout Downtown.

Agent Pace was assigned to congratulate the operatives, and to single out the following for special commendation on behalf of the System:

objTasteeWheat, for devising the means of disabling Andromeda's jackout system

PBell, for sending the final message that disabled her jackout system immediately before the terrorist's termination

Dragonram, for being the first to report her presence in the Matrix yesterday

ViperSG, for tracking down the terrorist after she escaped from operatives, and had eluded all attempts to find her for over half an hour

Gohda, for striking the blow that finally terminated the terrorist

CrimsonV, for single-handedly inflicting the most damage on the terrorist

MissMercury, for inflicting the second-most damage on the terrorist

Several operatives attempted to inform Andromeda of the threat to her jackout system, but the terrorist paid them no heed. While she may have been more receptive to such information as she neared her otherwise inevitable demise, the operatives present at that time offered her no quarter, and terminated her with the greatest efficiency.

Congratulations on ending this threat to the simulation, operatives.

Ah our little conversation was caught.

Realising I wasn't strong enough to take her on my own, I thought it better to report her and then stall for as long as I could until stronger authorities (i.e. RockyB and Sykin) showed up.

Great job everyone, a task well completed!

(( On a side note, Rarebit you owe me a new heart, I couldn't see you and my heart skipped a few beats when you first started speaking :smileytongue: But, I have to say, that was one of my most memorable moments in MxO, so I thank you very much for that :smileyhappy: ))

(Man, first I've got to give my thanks to Rarebit... I
thought I was a mental case when I first saw her; you should've seen
it. I was going crazy. Couldn't even think of what to say. Really had
the adrenaline pumping... Chased her for hours--One slip of my finger
prevented me from following Andromeda from Edgewater to where she went after that,
though. Then it sort of got really slow after we couldn't find her. I
could've sworn, however, that I saw someone in the water way before
Andromeda's death! Like right in the center. I jumped down and they
were gone... Even said 'What the Hell, some one was here...' in area
chat. PBell beat even me as the last person to send 'false' through the
email. Can't believe it! But it was an excellent event; loved the
puzzles. Really was more involved than the rest of them.)
