This is not a joke.

I was using Kung-Fu, and Interlocked a Rifleman NPC from a distance.  Instead of sliding towards them per normal, I nearly fell out of my chair when my RSI proceeded to execute the backflip vault kick from CR1.  It 'must' have been a one-in-a-million glitch, because I haven't seen this animation in over a year, since CR2 was implemented.  Developers, is work progressing to reimplement some of these older animations?

It happened too quickly for me to get a screenshot, but I know what I saw.

This patch was much larger than usual, could they have slipped in some CR1 animations as Dev only to test them a little but one bugged for you to see?  =O

WOW! It would be nice if they brought some of the pre-CR-2 animations: I miss the old shoot-with-the-gun-held-under-one-arm animation that I remember from when I was still using just handguns. And there was one that looked a lot like Trinity's scorpion kick, that was an end move of sorts.

Two questions.

1) was it off a wall or just in mid air?

2) where were you when you did it?

1. To be honest with you, I couldn't tell exactly.  If I remember correctly, the enemy was in the process of phasing through a recently-closed door so as to regain Interlock positioning with myself, but it was from a distance.  Instead of closing along with the enemy, my RSI did some sort of vault kick to close the distance.  It might have been off the wall; I couldn't tell.  It happened really quickly because bullet time triggered, but the bullet time itself was off, which just led to the animation happening super fast rather than slowing it down.  I am absolutely certain that I have not seen this animation since CR1, whether it was actually off the wall or no.

2. I was in a mission area somewhere in Richland.  It might have been Tabor Park, but I can't be certain.

Rarebit did say (this at the fan faire) that there's like 3 places (but no mention on where they are) as to where you can do a Wallkick. so If you'd remember where it took place coordinate wise... that would help.

My map wasn't open at the time, and I haven't the slightest clue where I was 'exactly.'  I was in a mission area near a pair of double doors when the animation hit.

Why not make is a special animation or at least give us the coords rare!

God...yes... and you were using Kung fu correct? Could you perhaps make a stick figure diagram of how you were positioned, and tell us what tactic you were on?

That was Walrus, and he was eh confused. As far as we know wall kicks do not and have not worked under CR2.0. If Vanil got one then I suppose he's probably Neo.

I've noticed that recently, I've been having more Npc's go through a wall when interlocking. Many times, my players jumps an insane distance (or the NPC does) to rejoin the interlock distance, and the move plays at the same time. You may have just been lucky that the long jump looked like something else, although I wouldn't be surprised if the odd situation caused something weird to happen. The wallkicks were removed cuz of timing difficulties I think; that would explain bullettime being off.

I was using Speed.  I'll try to get around to trying to come up with some sort of graphic to explain it.
