Am I an elitist idiot because I think that the Beta Clothes should be reserved for Beta players?

We participated back then, did our fair share of /ccr, we were part of shaping this game, and we got some unique untradeable items for it.
And now we're just elitist idiots, because of that?

You know what? To hell with leveling, make everyone Level 50 as they join the game, then we can all be equal elitist idiots, all wearing Beta clothes.

Having beta clothes doesn't mean you sent in bug reports or contributed to the community in any form. Just means you paid 5 bucks for a preorder copy of MXO.

And from you, someone who (as far as I know) doesn't have any special items, I can accept that as a valid response

But not from someone who is part of the have's, as opposed to the have-not's. It's kind've like a rich guy saying "Money isn't everything!" to the hobo begging for a quarter.

Of course, if Cap0ne wishes to have a valid point, all he has to do is delete those special items. They don't make him who he is, right?

On a side note- no matter what happens in this place, no one is ever happy, it's nice to be on the side that doesn't care. I didn't get into beta cause i live in canada, so i'm fine with hyper jump beta, i'm fine with no more cinematics, i've just grown tired of complaining about the issues that get nothing accomplished.

And sneaker as much as i see the point your trying to make, you can't bust his balls cause he got lucky, if you had it you'd be making the same arguement he is, and things would be completely different. Yeah it sucks to not get a reward, sucks more if your reward is a piece of crap, but don't make it as simple as saying things would be better if he didn't have the mask. Or that he's opinion can be validated any more or less - these forums are just full of hot air.

My intent was not to "bust his balls", and I apologize if that's how it was viewed.

I'm saying that I cannot accept an argument of "It means nothing" from someone who has everything.

Don't be overly insensitive, Cap. You can't jump on some folks for wanting items and/or threatening to quit, and then proclaim that I'm a troll when I state why your opinion in this situation is biased and invalid.

I'd appreciate it if you calmed down, Cap0ne. I don't want this thread to become locked, because I for one would like to hear more opinions on this subject

You've made your opinion very clear - that special items mean nothing. I understand that, but I am saying that your opinion, in my opinion, doesn't hold any weight, due to the fact that you already have the items people desire. Therefore, it's easy for you to say that they mean nothing.

If you consider me a troll because I consider your opinion invalid due to clearly explained reasons, that's fine.

Oh but please, allow someone from Syntax to come whine about how their FM-1500 was well deserved and earned through some awsome way even though we're not talking about them, because their the exception not the rule. yeesh. 3 out of 9 aint bad for the Mech Liaisons right?

Trace, at this point you're saying 'Oh, but don't forget Syntax' or 'No no, I'm aware of Syntax' more often than the Syntaxian Machinists are defending how we got our FM-1500s. We get it: you've acknowledged us and consider us the exception. Shush.

I've been spending a lot of time on Syntax lately, and one thing that has struck me is the fact that there is a larger population than Recursion and there is less drama!

Syntaxians, you fail miserably at Drama.  If you need any pointers, I've had (more than) my fair share of it, hit me up for tips!
