    Subject: Morpheus, the Twin, the Door, the Sword.

Watching Reloaded again the other day, the thought hit me:

 

Instead of trying to shoot the twin's arm off (when he was using it to keep the door open), why didn't they use the sword to cut it off? That's the only use of the sword that would have ended up working SMILEY

Morpheus had the sword but he was using both of his hands to try and keep the door shut.

otherwise they wouldnt have a cool car chase and it would just end the movie that much sooner

why didnt they just use cow instead of humans in the matrix movies?

Yes,
and he thought the Twin's arm would have receded once Trinity shot him,
however this was before they realised they could quickly recover from
bullet wounds. I wonder he felt the pain of the shots. He had no
expression of pain on his face, so I assume he felt nothing.

what i wanna know is why he used his arm to hold the door open when he could simply pass through it anyway?

He was holding it open for his twin. If it had closed, it might have opened up onto another location, then the twins wouldn't have been together. I think he said something like, "Can we move things along?" trying to get him to hurry up.

Right, we see that happen when the Twins close the door on Neo and he ends up outside the Chateau.
