UnknownShadow, that's a great suggestion and I'll give it a try.

I managed to go for over an hour tonight without a crash, but I also stopped a ridiculous number of services and background programs to do it.  I'll try forcing a re-install from the launcher and see how that goes.

For the record, the Station Launcher is otherwise a pretty good product!  I've been pleased with how easily it works, and it doesn't give me a problem in the world with other SOE games, or with other non-Vista machines.
