I've already posted (But not my idea, but it's the best one I have seen) a solution to this that seems to be fair for all parties involved. Instead of dismissing people quite rudely how about you explain why that idea shouldn't be implemented?

EDIT: Oops, ignore that first part, misread something.

I never said anything of the sort. I'm perfectly fine with no pants on my RSI. I didn't like how the gi's look, so I didn't wear them. I jokingly make a suggestion to Rarebit, and he likes it. End of that. He could have gone about it about 13 ways, but he chose just to add pants.

Maybe this was the only way TO add pants to the Gi's.

Please don't jump to conclusions by what I say. It makes you seem stupid in my eyes.

Perhaps that is the main problem people have. A joking suggestion was implemented despite most players not liking it. Why fix something that ain't broke?

You assume again with the most. The real estimate is about half and half. I'm going to work now.

Forum numbers seem about half and half, but even Rarebit admits that isn't a good judge of real numbers.

In game, like I said, only met ONE person who likes the new Gi.

No offense, but if you want to pull that excuse out I'm going to complain that men are overlooked cause we only have 7 clothing slots and can't wear boxers despite there being constant requests for them.
I agree with you, so.... yeah.  Go ahead.

And if  you'd read, I'm pulling the Uterus Card in FAVOR of the old gi, because I own a gi that short.  When fighting, I wear workout shorts under it (they're a lot like biking shots, or sliding shorts)  Also, I know this will blow your minds, but panties and a bikini cover the same area (I KNOW AMIRITE WOW!).  Fear of being seen in your underwear is a bizarre societal construct, seeing as we walk on the beach all the time in even less.

OH man I'm fapping so hard right now...

That leggings idea sounds like it would work well, problem is the limited space on the database and separating the pants from the Gi would mean pretty much doubling the amount of space a Gi set takes up, which is worse than having half the Gi's panted and the other half pantless.

In my opinion, the panted Gi's look a lot more realistic as a MA piece of clothing, I've seen quite a few real life MA tournaments and both female and males wore bottoms along with the top.

In FFOTO, it was meant as a sexy scene, they were both flirting with each other in a training construct, it would have been a lot less sexy for the viewer if she had pants on. Plus she had underwear on not to mention they had swords but the original developers didn't see fit to acknowledge those parts.

If the Female Gi gets the pants removed then I call for the Male Gi to have it's pants removed, fair is fair. I, for one, like the Gi. I didn't call for it to be changed but saw the image Rarebit produced and liked it, and in my opinion it looks far better as a proper MA item than the tunics.

The movies may have had a R rating (15 in the UK) but the game can and probably is played by even younger. I'm no prude, the top half of it looks nice (apart from a few clipping issues) but it looks a lot better now, imo.

Not really a valid point considering we just added +300 weapons to the game. The space isn't really an issue.

And that's right. Boxers slot should totally be added to the Male RSI.

EQUALITY!

JUSTICE FOR ALL!

So why haven't males got our boxers yet? You can keep your pants but lose leggings (Fair's fair, you have an extra clothing slot).

Or we can get our boxers (Fair's fair, we have one less clothing slot).

I'd happily lose the pants off the Male Gi if it meant I could wear boxers. Tiger Masters Gi with Heart patterned boxers would be the pwn.

Having level 50 guns benefits all players using guns of which only mostly lvl 45 guns were available thus (I guess) were losing out on the base damage that the other tree's had, therefore not a waste of database space. Duplicating clothing just because some people dislike the looks is a waste imo.

There are a lot of things I don't like about the source material. If you're seriously looking for an answer to that question, I think ninety percent of the people here will say the same thing - we love the game for the game. MxO is not the same as the movies or anything else in the setting, but it has its own charm and appeal.

The fact that changing the Gi is making the game less sexy and less "Matrixy", while true, is not much of an argument. However, making an item less appealing to a large part of the player base with no apparent reason is. And that's what we should really be focusing on.

The database is limited on different types of clothing. Can't make jeans but they're able to re-texture current pants models to look like jeans.

Blame whoever coded the clothing slots, I'd campaign just as hard for a slot like that for the guys. The reasoning that I got from the legging slot is because of clothing items that reveal the legs. What item of male clothing would show the boxers off when worn? The only time they'd be seen is when stripped down to them.
