I am doing hard missions and keep getting my butt kicked by these guys (Lupines Lvl 15 with 3 ^) >SMILEY It is very anoying. I have just realised that you are meant to use the Silver Bullets on them but it doesn't seem to help.

Can anyone gives me some tips so I do not get my butt kicked each and everytime I meet one of them?

I am currently level 14 and use Aikido. I use a tactic's booster and a health booster when I fight them but it still doesn't seem to be enough.

A list of some good equipment for my level and class and where to find it would be usefull I think. If I could just boost my combat rolls by about 15 points I should do ok against them.

Heh... wait until you see the Nightmares SMILEY

It's usually hard fighting NPC's at your lvl. Once you lvl up more, things should get easier. Try powerlvling in a group for a while, or play around with different loadouts. Proxy Coder is a very good loadout if you're having trouble killing enemies.

I have trouble with them too.  I find using Kung Fu, Precise Blow and Calm Mind work well together to beat them.  Don't bother with ranged attacks unless you have a gunfighting speciality because they dodge *really* well.  Cheap Shot and Iron Guard also seem to work well.  Stakes work well for me some of the time, silver bullets hardly at all and holy water almost every time.

Silver Bullets don't do a lot of damage, but they almost always hit. So if you need to break the momentum of a fight or are afraid of getting stunned again, use a silver bullet. They also have a great animation and when used as a coup de grace when you about have the doggie beat, they REALLY impress the ladies.

Tips on fighting the three chev lupines:

1) When possible snipe them through open doors. That way, you don;t get mobbed by several and often are less likely to be hit by them.

2) Never forget they travel in packs. You will often find a three chev with one or two weaker friends. One or two chev lupines almost always come in pairs and trios. When possible, divide and conquor. Try and lure one out a door, finish him, then go for the next. Also, ALWAYS take on the lower level first. They will go down faster and the three chev usually doesn't attack you until you've taken out the riff raff.

3) Tactics Boosters and health pills are your friends. Use them. If you know there is going to be a lupine to fight, use the tactics booster and make sure your health and IS are at 100% before you open the door. They will almost always tip you off by using an ability while you are still in the hall. This will show in your system messages.

4) Pray.

Good luck...and remember...stay off the moors.

I'm not sure what your level is, but its ideal to lower their block tactics and combat tactics with a good Iron Guard/Guard Breaker and Overhead Smash combo.

Follow it up with a stake or silver bullet and they're almost dead.  Or at least thats usually the case for me.

Lupines used to be able to block any and all sneak attacks, but apparently that is over now.  So punt away friends!

One thing that always makes me laugh is that lupines can get hurt about the same as a BLoodsucker when you use the stake.

Never try to fight lupine if there is somebody else in the room!
actually, u woludnt meet any lupine withe the rank less that 3 ^, which
makes your life more complicated. However, sinche u r aikido, i dont see
any problems to knock those guys out. I`m a cuttroat and i had many
problems with them because my sneak attack points were lower than
their. On the other had, u can allways start fork for Merv if u just
dont want to meet Lupines anymore!

Yeah those Lupines are mean SOB's even more then the Vamps..maybe thats why the Vamps use the Lupines to protect them while they sleep during the day...

I've found that Grab tactics usually always hit on Lupines.  Sure, grabs don't do a whole lot of damage, but they have the chance of causing the Lupine to become off-balance or staggered, giving you more options with your next attack.

I didn't start seeing Lupines until I hit 40.  Nightmares are weird looking, but are cake to take down.

Good luck!

I would have to agree with that.  Grab seems to be your best bet when you need to land an attack.  Less damage but seems to have higher rolls for some reason.

This is because, if you've ever loaded Precise Blow, you'll see that opponents develop Grab vulnerabilities MUCH more than they do speed or power. So therefore, even if you have Precise Blow off... there's a good chance that if you go grab, you'll find a vulnerability and exploit it, which results in a higher roll.
