Commandos with innapropriate resistance

For some reason the commandos resistance in the new quest jumps form really high to very low. For instance on the same commando 2 chevron I did a ki charged foot sweep for 208 damage and then a bit later I did 500 damage on the same move power tactic and no prowess. It's like this with normal tactics too. I also fought another commando and just stayed on power tactic and the damage varied from 250 to 200 to 150 to 95 as minimal without me doing anything different, just being on power tactic.

They use Iron Body or Seren Calm sometimes. It's one of those, not both.

They use an Aikido/Riflemen/MKT load. Every NPC that uses Aikido eventually uses Iron Body.

It ain't iron body cos my punts jump between around 650 to about 240 every so often, i've also had this happen quite often with construct bosses.

I wud understand if it was iron body when the resistance jump on one constant but not raise or go lower GRADUALLY. That is my point, that for resistance to go up or down gradually something wrong is going on or this is by design and a part of an evil plan by someone *points at Rarebit*

I too have noticed this, but I put it down to the commandos using sploits... when a few of us are farming, ill load up smg and sniper to make big hits and noticed full auto redux does 145 one time and up to 400 other times, same with sniper shot. Im pritty sure they randomly change loadout while fighting too, Ive been hit with throws and akido all from the same commando... major sploiting. I think ill ccr there arse

They are meant to have sniper, spy and aikido in their load tht's nothing outside the usual. Always been that way and it's by design. The resistance however is worrying especially seeing other people notice other NPCs also change their resistance.

As long as other players resistances don't change randomly then it's not a very big deal yet it would be nice if it would be fixed especially if it's happening to other NPCs

Not at the time I I noted the damage differences. We got one in team later on.

This is not even close to being new nor out of the ordinary. Any and all NPC's that have Aikido use Iron Body and this of course increases their melee and ballistic resistances for a period of time, then you notice you're doing more damage (because it wore off) and they use it again.

 

 This has also gone on for much longer than with the new EC quest. Tengu has had this on Sakura for ages and I believe even some mission NPC's (non Commando) use it as well. They may also mix in Consistant Technique though I'm not positive but I do seem to remember having removed that from Tengu with Machinegun Fist Combo before.

Even with my misspellings you should have already noticed that it decreases and increases gradually and not switching between 2 or 3 constant values. Damage varying 5 times on my power tactic with 20 pts every time isn't iron body.

And yeah, I also got many different values from attacks that should lie in the same region (without debuffs or buffs on myself).

You know with this I was watching someone do about 935dmg with their tomo nage the other day on those elite commandos. Over and over again on a lot of them when they spawned. That being said, there was another instance when it did about 450dmg, which kinda links in with that stuff about iron body and things.

I guess as they're lvl 55 that they're not meant to be overly easy, yet I could kill one of them 1-on-1 ever since lvl 45 by just spamming staggered attacks on them. SMILEY
