(( Ooh, interesting name.  Based on that, it could be a good one. ))

(( Not anything unexpected content wise (go here, kill that, search that PC, meet that person, etc.)  but some quite interesting story tidbits to move things along.  Oh, and the operator complaining about the Cyphs is always welcome hehe ))

The Oligarchs, eh? So the intruders are definitely from some sort of community, and probably quite a large one to warrant its own government.

Good to see a further reminder that the Machines don't trust the Cypherites any further than they could spit at them from. They can swagger about all they want, but the Machines will turn on them soon enough - and then I'll be pleased to accept our new orders.

The Oligarchs? After talking with a friend, this and this was brought back to our attention after discussing what they could be.

If there's an Oligarch, there might be a possible colony, and if there's a colony then what does it contain? If it contains Machine sympathizers from before the war that agreed to some kind of deal (get hooked up to machines so they can live a lot longer and for the Machines... I dunno what) then is the above picture related?

Also the Hypatia event ( http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/..._id=36300009174 ) that people think may be related to this "Zion Intel" about colonies happened two months (about two sub-chapters) after the sketch was made.

Hey man, good thinking. I forgot about that sketch. Agents would have no business in the Zero-One construct, and couldn't exist in the real Zero-One, so that image never made much sense.

So then, people in the mysterious colony still wear ties?

*Goes to check if there were any possibly relevant sketches made around the same time.*

I am also reminded of the Merv chapter 8 critical missions, where Humans would disappear from the Matrix and be made into able bodies in the real. Halborn has also said he has lived "this way for centuries". We also know the Machines have the ability to overwrite human minds with programs, who's to say if they can overwrite a human mind with another human mind?

What conclusion do any of you draw from this, if any?

I can't draw any conclusions, but I hope that when the big reveal happens and we discover there really is a free human civilisation outside the petty Cycle and the war between Zion and Zero-One that this civilisation won't be massive, and won't take up, say, half of the planet. 'Cos that's bound to conflict with people's RP again. I'm sure some people have been a great distance in their hovercrafts.

Something smaller, something tucked away in a valley somewhere (maybe even with clear skies), or underground (but much nicer than Zion - think D'ni), or maybe even above the clouds!

Eh, I'll try to reel my imagination in again. This'll just take a moment...

Also, I believe what the Morpheus Simulacrum said sheds a bit of light on the whole Oligarch thing.

Hmmm... A nice decent sized Biosphere somewhere on the other side of the planet. Perhaps an alternate Zion and an alternate Machine city but who's diplomacy is a lot better... so working together... ish...

Gray sends us to meet Carlyne who is talking to some other Machine guys! Carlyne said he will tell the Oligarchs to restrict Halborn's access once he is removed from the Matrix... what in the world are the Oligarchs? 0.o Agent Pace was here too, and acted like all of the problems were going to be solved.. she sent me to Agent Gray to focus on something else! :O There was also a Machine guy I talked to here who said Seraph Sati and the Morpheus sim have been missing since the Oracle was killed!

Gray said the Cypherites haven't given them enough information about the thingy that the Oracle gave them, so I have to see Veil about it! Veil said they haven't been able to break it, but they were also told to keep it safe, so they will keep it to themselves and out of the Matrix for now!  Gray says that EPN probably has done the same and have it either on a ship, or in old Zion. He wants to find out!!

The plan is to break into an EPN hideout and plant a message on the computer saying the fragment is gone! After this, try to sneak to another EPN place and see how they react to the message! It sort of worked, and the Machines think they have the code in Zion! Gray wants to work on gathering information about the new stuff that EPN has done to Zion now!

Ah, so they were named Oligarchs after all! I thought the initial intruder's name was Oligarch, but now it actually makes more sense that it refers to his colony. Hmm...

Not his colony, just its rulers. They probably fulfill exactly the same function as Zion's Council, but Rare/Chadders called them Oligarchs to avoid any confusion.

Info about oligarchies, the most oddly named form of government I've ever heard of: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oligarchy
