How come we only see Asian theme in the International district?
Why not Italian, Spanish, or German themes?  I mean couldn't yall
put in an Italian district, a German district, a Spanish district and
finally an asian district?  I think the International district
would be more realistic this way.

I know the name is misleading, but it's supposed to be a Chinatown, not a collage of different cultures. Even the posters in the subways have "Welcome to Chinatown" signboards or the like. Maybe they haven't called it this way to avoid confusion with the Chinatown from EtM.

Supposedly, Lucero Point is a neighborhood with many Hispanic residents, but I fail to see anything Spanish in the architecture -- the villas there don't seem to be different from those in Sobra Shores.

However, would German, Italian or Spanish districts be really that eye-catching? Germany, at least, has nothing really remarkable, it's just "western".

I think the best one would
have to be Oriental, such as the middle-east and stuff.  Having
those ancient turkish baths and the markets and all that stuff would be
really pretty. =P

I live in Germany. Ok, I haven't travelled around that much.

I'm not saying a German town or city looks exactly like an American one, or that it doesn't have its own style in, let's say, older constructions. However, it's hardly that out-shining and charismatic as a Chinatown, I'm sure of that. Furthermore, apart from apparent folklore, I can't think of any music you could classify as "German", write a track based on it and then put it into the game. The Chinese music works too perfectly SMILEY

These are the districts that were to be made but we only got 4 of them.

Hmm, I wonder why they decided to scrap the other districts.

It's not like they were really scrapped, but rather merged into the existing ones.

The "Industrial/Waterfront" was spread across the four districts, so we now have six industrial neighborhoods in the game (especially Southard and Ikeburo).

Financial/Government have been realized through Kedemoth / Tabor Park aswell as Downtown. The "Urban/Residential" looks much like Richland, while the "Suburbs" seem to have survived in Mannsdale aswell as part of Camon Heights, Lucero Point and Sobra Shores.

Oh, and some buildings in Downtown, mainly in Historic District (or also in the business neighborhoods of Richland) look a bit old-fashioned -- as I supposed, the remains of the "Old Town" idea.

What would be really cool, would be the 'Power Plant' being included in-game.

If you look at the MegaCity map, there are bright green areas that are way too small to be fully-fleged districts. So it'd be good if the Power Plant was the size of say two or three neighbourhoods.

I'd see the area containing the plant itself, and company housing, with a couple of hardlines.

I'm pretty sure the Power Plant from EtM is no more. SMILEY

However, I could very well imagine an industrial district with larger factories and maybe power plants; I've written down more detailed ideas about it in this thread. Actually, it was started by Darrius_SPLET to describe his own ideas about a new district (darn well job, I gotta say), but I kinda hijacked it with my own SMILEY

Well, I'm not really on about a district, more like a sub-district. This would bring in places from the movies and other places to explore, but without creating an entire district that's anout 17 neighbourhoods big.

Ooh, a "Little Italy" district as a PvP-hot zone (and maybe PvP-safe zone for Vector) with different high-level Mafia families in different neighborhoods instead of gangs. And family chateaus for exile hideouts, with the family Don as the hideout boss. And Mafia-themed clothing. And a whole set of italian music.

Now that would be interesting content. SMILEY
