When In Interlock what is a Duelists Rolls based on?

When a Duelist is in interlock are his rolls based on MCT like an MA, or are his rolls still based on RCT.

 

I'm trying to figure out if a Duelist can match or pass a full blown MA in interlock or not. Thanks in advance.

Guns always are dealing with RCT.  if the duelist is disarmed, then he will have to use his MCT.  Only problem is there is a slight pentaly for using guns within interlock, but it's big enough to put you at a loss.  Load up sharpshooter and get rid of that.

 

Duelists can defeat MA's in close combat.  With abilities like pistol evasion then dual pistol execution, it's made very simple, especially with a piercing weapon.

Thanks Trex, it seems that RCT are alot easier to build up then MCT...Or is that wrong. seems like it would give the duelist an advantage until he is disarmed.

yes...duelist's definetly have the advantage against an MA...they have
the 100% chance stun which although duelist's won't do much damage the
100% stun is still the only thing that keeps a duelist alive against an
MA...duelist's still aren't meant to take down MA's in PvP....I have
lasted 5 mins before against top duelists using good
strategies...because they only do 200 dmg per hit and I regen/absorb so
much....



so obviously in a PvP situation a duelist won't want to take a MA 1v1 unless he has buddies backing him up or outnumbers him.



And also duelist has a strange bug....sometimes even when regular moves
from an MA go through they cause some kind of phantom disarm and if
that happens the duelst is well .....ya.

I've noticed that some clothes give you a bonus to either
tactics or damage, eg Petal Pants, Speed Tactics +5pts and Kickin'
Boots, Power Damage +25pts.
But gun attacks in interlock is called Burst for speed and Aimed Shot for power.
Does this bonus also apply to  guns in interlock or is it just for MA?

Contrary to what Regulus says, it's quite easy to beat a good MA with
Duelist in PvP. You just need to have an MA backup. I mostly use Aikido
with duelist to make people powerless so I won't have to worry about
Extreme Falling Kick.

It would be better to combine Duelist with Kung-Fu, that way
YOU'RE the one pulling off the Falling Kicks, because as we all know if
you're dueling a Fu Grandmaster the first thing that sucker is gonna do
is spam Extreme Falling Kick.



Though it's pretty useless now that Duelist is totally boned (abilities roll extremely low, hotbar abilities not working, etc..)

Yeah, what is up with the duelist specials not working?  This needs to be fixed asap.

Rolls are based on Rcts, Handgun Tactics, I dont think Rcts and handgun tactics stack on top of Mcts though. I have noticed that when you are Disarmed then the MCts kick in but untill then its all about the handgun tactics. Make sure if you are a duelist to get the shirt with the +10Handguns tactics and Retaliate tactics as well. ITs a must for that Build. If anyone needs any Gold Badges to get the bedlams in Downtown look me up i have a crap load i would be willing to let go of for a small price.

Yea for a long time pistol specials freeze and wont let you use them, they force you to use a melee special to regain the gun special.


 


What really gets me is that dual pistol execution is supposed top drop an opponents ct by 20 pts, but its bugged and all ou get is an error, which makes kicking a pistoleers butt easy when we cant count on our specials to do what they are supposed to do. we win by sheer perserverance at times because they dont work right.


 


of course i am talking out the side of my head considering i have yet to ccr it, guess i better do that now
