I would rather it be delayed than getting a bugged patch. take your time don't rush  when its ready then release it SMILEY

hehe I've played since beta and I don't think any patch has ever came out right the first time. There's so much time and effort that gets put into these patches and I don't hate SOE or think they're lazy at all, and I love your confession, Rarebit, of breaking the entire world. Made me laugh SMILEY I think we're all looking forward to the fixes and implementations that are going into this patch, so if you need to keep breaking it to make it work, then by all means, go fer it. Your efforts, as well as your honesty, are appreciated!

Oh splendid. Why release it when i have a day off of work when you can delay it longer?

I have one simple favor to ask of you. Please do not give out dates of releases anymore. I honestly can't remember if we have ever hit a single targeted release date. As in your post you stated that best case is Thursday so we won't be seeing it until at least next week. I understand things break and bugs occur but just don't get all of our hopes up with dates that are just going to be delayed.

Kudos to you Rarebit on your open / honest / transparent response to the delay ... Im a software engineer myself (I'd offer to help out with the fix if you'd have me!).  Not wanting to dis the other MMO's out there, but how many of them give the devs such free access to the user community, the free channel to admit mistakes ... rather than having the marketing department make up vague "please wait" messages or (heaven forbid) rushing the patch out and having to release another emergency patch right after (with associated downtime)?

Good job on "breaking the world" though - that's the kind of unintended consequence of a fix that has serious style!

I broke the world once... I feel your pain Rare SMILEY

But I have to say you have some biguns to admit your error and then start a post about it. I got lots of respect for you man, when I broke the world I ran and hid underneath the giant turtle that holds us all on it's back.

Although Update 46 has been unfortunately delayed yet again, we bring you in its stead this wonderful thread, in which you can discuss what a nitwit Rarebit is for BREAKING THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD while trying to fix one last annoying White Hallway bug, thus providing us all with a small means of filling the yawning hole in all our lives the next two days of delay will bring.

Excelsior!
You aint no nitwit your tha one that brings us joy in events and other things ... so what u made a mistake SH1T happens Bah ! the patch got delayed so what. i dont really care the content that is coming is gona be cool, its gona be worth the wait in the end... if the patch went live with bugs people woulda complained. they very people that are angry cuz of the delay would be complaining about it.  /Bow to the Rare Wabbit

See, if you guys were running Windows XP you could have just rolled-back the world breaking. I should be a Dev. And as my first order of business it will be for Walrus to get me one of those DEV tags next to my name on these forums.

Rarebit, you're being a good sport about all this. Thanks for letting us have some fun at your expense. Think of it as a Roast

So what if the update is a bit late.  Just gives everyone a bit more time to prepare for it and the info for the keys.  You guys could just spew out a bunch of crappy content and we'd just have a bunch of crappy content or you could take the extra time to make sure that you're putting out quality content that will actually matter.

Just a good thing ya caught this bug before the public release.
