I saw this retrieval and thought hmmm..... Shall I register?... Then I snapped out of it and realised! Ra2za smell the coffee you can get how many beers for that much! haha!I think it is a nice little incentive for people going or could go, But I for one am a GMT Player. I personally think these kind of textures should be applied to all the clothing models! After all this proves high res textures can be applied in game right? The GI'S were reviewed. So why cant the other items?Anyways like I say not knocking the insentive just think some more <3 could be given to existing models....Anyways thats my two scents!Nice jeans!

It isn't intended as a way for us to make extra money.

You see, I can't exactly do that.
I'm in the middle of getting things set up to move to another state for College while also paying for everything. So I don't have the time nor the money to attend.
Although... seeing you would make my year.
Virrago wrote:I agree and I wouldn't pay $40 dollars for a pair of in game jeans either...If SOE made a Web site selling clothing items and other goodies for use in MxO, and they listed "Blue Jeans" at $40, then no, I would not pay that, that's excessive. However in this case, seeing as how such a service does not exist and this is the ONLY opportunity to get the jeans, I *would* (and will) be paying this money, and furthermore I do think SOE *should* make extra money to support MxO!I won't be attending Fan Faire (no money to travel now that my student loans are coming due ) but I think the jeans are AWESOME and ME WANT! And, this may defy all logik and reason, but I don't honestly mind paying out a little extra to SOE in support of the game. There is nothing wrong with this in my opinion. If SOE feels that additional income from special clothing or item sales (with real $$) justifies keeping the game alive for another year, I would support that 100%. I think they should do MORE of this: set up a Web page offering special items that could be purchased and then emailed to your character. I don't think $40 for a pair of jeans is fair, but remember: you're NOT paying $40 for a pair of jeans, you're paying $40 for a day pass at Fan Faire, and that's TOTALLY WORTH IT! The jeans are just intended to be an incentive .. if you just want the jeans, fine, but keep in mind you are deliberately buying something of greater value and choosing not to accept it.So yea, I <3 this game and I will take the opportunity to show SOE my support by shelling out $40 for a pair of jeans. They'll look awesome with my new Blue Sky top and hat <3Me buying blue jeans for $40 = "These shoes cost $300! LET'S GET EM!!!" I almost did this for the verdigris too, Asagi and I did talk about it, but honestly the verdigris to me doesn't look nearly as cool as the blue jeans (Altho it looks great on you ArchDuke!!)/as
I agree and I wouldn't pay $40 dollars for a pair of in game jeans either...
Couldn't have explained my pheelings on the subject any better myself! ...yes, I'm doing the same as you. WILL HAVE THOSE JEANS.
Back in 2004 alot of the items you see now had much higher resolution versions of them. They were eventually taken out for performance.

Eh. Choices, choices...
I won't be going to Fan Faire, but those jeans do look particularly good. Might bring a bit of colour back into Procurator's monotone (though I still think pretty cool ) outfit. I can afford them (I love the money aspect of having a full time job), but is it ultimately worth it?
So we won't be getting blue jeans as a normal clothing item? Fair enough. But I'd really like to know just how weathered the normal jeans will be. Should I wait and take a chance with the normal jeans, or go with something I know I like but which is expensive?

Certain dresses show blue during Gaussian blur which suggests there is a level of blue in their inherant RGB tint. Sleepwalkers already wore blue. Bluepills but I don't really think that counts as new age matrix blue as it was original. Blue skies in constructs. Probably a few other things I'm way to hungover to remember right now. Honestly it's a good item in my opinion. It's also a consumer incentive. Theres nothing wrong with that.Quote: Register for Fan Faire, and you'll be one of the rare breed who can go true blue in the simulation!I don't know about you, but that line said it all to me, plus I didn't say it wasn't the only blue thing, but its a real effort in breaking the elements about the Matrix, to make money. The reward isn't "how shall we reward those who come to fanfaire", it's "how shall we make extra money from more registrations", I'd like to think Rarebit tried to put up a fight to not use blue jeans.

I love the jeans! I will be looking forward to having my special toon Darkhawk1 wearing them ingame.
Only thing, I still would have liked to see a set - Pants & Top. My total bill for this trip" $1,200+ dollars. A set complete set would have been nice - that's all. Why only 1 thing? That is not a complaint, I'm just saying - I've spent so much on this game ... thru thick and thin, bad and good. I think that is what ppl are trying to say.
Besides all that - I love them and really look forward to going to Vegas and having lots of fun! Here's also to hoping I win big at the slots! Whoohoo!!
I want to get the tickets, but I have a problem... I have a number in each of my character names and its not letting me use or type it in, what should I do????
I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you can show Rarebit that you registered, he will send it to the character that you tell him.
Okay, I did it^^
I should do this more offen^^ hehe.. because now I think about it, all that stuff I missed out on at the SOE Fan Faire and MXO treats.
