Spoken like a true Toaster-lover. Tell me, Illyria, what was the price of your soul?

Among the things you got wrong: Michael would never knowingly endanger the lives of any Sleepers, as they are the very ones we are trying to save. And if I ever received an order to do so, I would walk away from my service to EPN without so much as a backward glance.

And one thing you got right (somewhat): the Machines are the Enemy. You see, the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was to make everyone forget he existed. And the greatest trick the Machines ever pulled was to convince Humanity of their "sincere" desire for peace and co-existence.

The Truth is out there. It is searching for you. It will find you if you let it.

((OOC: The Kid is an idealist and a dreamer, as was obvious in The Animatrix: Kid's Story. I will admit that his cause does attract the more . . . radical of personalities, although not much worse or more radical than some of the people in other organizations. SMILEY But he isn't a terrorist. After all, it was Morpheus who started the code bombing, long before The Kid started EPN. But, EPN is not a war-mongering group. They are simply about the truth. The Kid thinks that the people in the Matrix should be given a conscious choice, not the subconcious one that the system relies on to work. We feel that the subconscious choice is still slavery; even though the Machines are not stopping everyone from waking up, they are certainly working hard at avoiding it.))

When we stray from our individual paths we tend to cling to things that can fixate on, this fixation in turn is substituted for the path that is dicated by your nature, and can blind one to their true nature and hence their true path.

I believe Neo would not have wanted "disciples". In that fact is the lesson.

You follow your path, do what must be done and live with the consequences not avoid them.

To be passionate about something is not wrong if its your nature to be so, however there in lays the danger, as to much of anything can become harmful.

Cheers all SMILEY

The kid is like all of us.  He believes in something.  He believes in it very strongly.  He believes that he knows what Neo wanted us to do mainly because of a perception he had of Neo and his beliefs.

Who are we to decide that he is wrong?  Do we know more about what Neo wanted that he?  We think we do, but we don't really.  He is a fanatic.  He is a crusader and above all, he is our little brother.  As misguided as we may believe he is, his innocence remains true.

His view is changing as times goes by.  Not because of persuasion but because of experience.  He's now seeing things from the eyes of someone inside, rather than the more idealistic eyes of someone from outside.  Things change when your hands are soiled.  He's learning that first hand.

Just like the One did.
