I know alot of people want swords implemented and I agree. I understand why people don't want swords because we might start seeing everyone fighting with them, which isn't what the matrix is all about but that can be stopped by adding a new tree to hacker and coder aswell, which would even out the number of people wanting to try out a new skill. You should have the choice of beeing a swordsman after soldier so you can become either an ma, gunman or swordsman. Specialities could include machetes, daggers etc.

Looks cool, but this is the Arabian version of the swords, looks good,
but I had thought more in Katanas or other Japanese or Chinese swords.

A swordsman class would be great too SMILEY

And I had thought about implementing some sword moves into a Ninjutsu class SMILEY



I hope we will see all these cool things in the future SMILEY

They don't need it implementing into ninjitsu, kenjutsu is a class for swords which could be created.

Yeah, and I think we must wait a long time for that SMILEY

I mean, the Zen Master is since monthes in work but it isnt out yet SMILEY



But it would be cool if we could hear in the future "We are work in an Sword Tree" this would be realy cool SMILEY

this is going to sound a little rude so im sorry in advance but .......... Zach you need to keep working on your english skills. Again im NOT trying to be mean. You just need some work.


 


But i think the reason the devs arnt releasing Zen Master is because they dont want to give it up cause its too much fun lol.

I know that my english isnt the best, my biggest problem are the
tenses. But I think you can understand me and Im trying to say it so
good as I can.

But If you want, we can speak together in german, my german is much better then my english SMILEY

Nope the Matrix isn't really about Swordplay its more of Gun-Fu than swords. You only see Neo and Niobe with em cuz they Pwn and deserve them.


Swords would be cool but it may kinda make  the game like SWG Without glowsticks if you saw the Mara Central PvPers slashing each other into tiny pieces.

But another thing I thought about is what if Swords and dagger were in the spy/shadow/cutthroat trees?


I'd be nice if they added a ability called "Slit Throat" and it wouldnt mess with the combat that much.


Since assassins are kinda underestimated.

I made some abilities last year,


Abilities:

Speed Burst

(used like energized attacks)

needed:min character lvl ?, cutthroat

 

Running strike

(used like dual pistol dash)

requires: sword, speed burst to be active, min character lvl 20

450 mele damage

 

Sword artistry

(fast moving slices and strikes)

requires: sword, min character lvl 25, and speed burst to be active

600 mele damage

 

SwordsMan

+10 force combat

+40 sword damage

requires: min character lvl 30, sword artistry and running strike

 

and the death blow in interlock is a normal attack where the opposing character bursts into code(like the vampires in blade when exposed to light) and falls the the ground where they render back to the normal RSI

Nice ideas for sword abilities but isn't 450 damage for a lvl 20 and 600 damage for a lvl 25 a bit too much?


Ideas I have for finishing blows are:


1. With daggers you ram both of them in the enemies abdomen in an upward motion.


2. With a sword turn your back to your enemy then drive the sword into your enemie's abdomen from behind.


3. With a pole you could trip the enemy up then wack them on the head like neo did.
