Tried to delete character now can't use account as it's stuck in use

I tried to delete a character on vector-hostile 'aragal2' but the launcher froze and now says my account is already in use when I try to use it. I sent an email to support 6 days ago with no reply yet. I know there are problems with the fire but can anyone help as its getting frustrating now. Many thanks.

That happened to me once, I believe I just completely killed all sources of power and internet on my computer and left it at a dead run for 5 minutes. Then plugged it back in and it let me delete the character.

Deleting characters is always a pain, I feel.

There's just so many names and information stored for these characters on the servers, that after more and more time, it takes longer and longer to delete a single character. I think a wipe is in order soon for the name database, considering if a name has been inactive since March of launch, where it was only used as a level one, it's just wasted space out there.

The problem is that the launcher has a tendency to freeze when deleting or selecting a character. If a deletion is in progress it ties up your account. Sometimes it resolves itself, usually you have to contact customer support. I've had this happen numerous times and got it resolved in a few hours by using the Live Chat.

Hopefully the station launcher eliminates this issue.

One of the problems is, she can't get thru Live Support these day's with fire in Califonia. Anyways thanks for the support.

Submit an in-game petition at http://support.station.sony.com/petition and then when the GM's get round to it, they will be able to unlock the account. SMILEY

Thanks Jeffers, but i think she allready done that to....a few times. Her friend got online yesterday, she was having the same problem, so it might be fixed soon.
