Mission 5: Extraction

Agent Gray: Mr. Kennedy, the recruiting data we captured from Zion has made it possible for us to intercept and replace one of the humans they intend to extract from our pod system. This man's name is--or rather was--Navin Manohar. Mr. Manohar has been terminated; a bluepill carefully groomed to resemble him has been put in his place. This man's mind has been partially overwritten by a special program.
We will now allow Zion to attempt to extract our version of Mr. Manohar from the Matrix. He has been placed in the original Manohar's apartment. I would like you to check on his status quickly. Zion's recruiting team plans to take him to their extraction point soon.

Operator: That's Navin's apartment complex. I'm reading our blue's signal in the apartment. No sign of the Zion team yet; better make this, though. And remember to look incognito.

Navin Manohar: Hello. Are you from... Oh, sorry. You must have the wrong apartment. If you call the number in the lobby, you can find whoever you're looking for in the automated index.

Operator:
He seems to be holding up. Place looks all right... I'd say we're solid. Let's notify Gray.

Navin Manohar:
No problem. I'd walk you down there, but I'm expecting visitors any minute now. I hope you find who you're looking for.

Agent Gray:
Good. You may await with Agent Pace the progress of Mr. Manohar at the hands of Zion's extraction team. She will notify you when your assistance is required for the next step for the operation.

Operator: Got a few of our programs in there. That blond one's gotta be Pace...

Long the Enforcer:
Smoke?
Huh... Too bad.

Jones the Enforcer:
I have no significant response.

Agent Stewart: Agent Pace is monitoring the operation.

Agent Pace: Ah, John--one moment, per favore. The Zionites have given Navin the red pill. Their trace program is running, and is about to interface with our override program...
There! Our program has locked their trace process, and is proceeding back through their systems. You must reach the extraction point and eliminate the Zionites before they identify the threat and unplug their systems. Long the Enforcer and Jones the Enforcer will assist you.

Operator: You heard the lady! Grab those guys and go!

Long the Enforcer: Off we go.

Jones the Enforcer:
Yes.

Agent Gray: Eliminate the Zionites present, and obtain the data from their machine.

Operator
: Some weird signals bouncing around in there...but I'm reading our boy Navin, and some reds.

Zion Grandmaster: Shut it down!

Zion Arbalest: What the hell?

Zion Rifleman: Oh, crap!

Operator: Groovy. Looks like we got there in time.

Operator: That got the red out.

Agent Gray:
Return the data to Agent Pace at our Tabor Park field office.

Operator: Ah, I like that place. They really should invite us in more often.

Computer: :: Sentinel mechanisms commanded by program alias "The General"
:: Possible communication with program alias "The Merovingian"
:: Unit size: unknown; estimate: small
:: Course projection: data insufficient

Agent Wilson: I caution you against overconfidence. Moderate your emotional response.

Agent Pace: Magnifico, Cap0ne. The program implanted in our Navin, unwittingly triggered by Zion when they attempted to extract him, exploited a vulnerability in their trace program, gaining access to their systems which, during the critical portion of the extraction procedure, rely on data processed and returned by Zion's core server farm.
Although the interface to that system is protected, an analysis of the feedback data you retrieved should give us vital information on its location and configuration. Cap0ne, this data could be the key to the Zion Mainframe.
You have done very well, tesoro. If there is...anything I can do for you as System Liaison, do not hesitate to ask.

Agent Johns: The loss of Mr. Manohar is...regrettable. However, it serves a larger purpose.

Agent Gray: While access to Zion's mainframe system would allow us to nullify their offensive capabilities almost immediately, obtaining such access is by no means assured. Further data is required.
Measurable progress against Zionite forces and systems continues to be made, however, and you have played no small part in this, Mr. Kennedy. The System benefits significantly from your continued support.
