Hi there...

Yesterday I was watching again Reloaded and two things stroke me about the storyline.

Link, Zee's partner, is working on Morpheus' ship as per a request Dozer made before he died, and considering he died in the first film, it seems like an old request he made, and that seems strange, however possible.

Tank, on the other hand, died after the first film but before the second one, does anybody know how he died?

Thanks,

Yes, the Brothers stepped onto the Nebuchadnezzar and killed Tank in vicious, cold blood because the actor who played Tank wanted top billing with Reeves, Fishburne, and Moss.

Dozer was killed by Cypher, and I always assumed that Tank died from his wounds also by Cypher's attack.

Dozer probably believed in Morpheus so much that if anything happened to him he wanted Link to fill in for him even if it risked his life ending too.

Every operator knew the risks of going outside Zion - sentinel attacks. It's likely that all operators had some sort of succession plan, or plans made for their families in case of death.

I believe that Dozer thought of Link as a brother and one of the best, and so - should anything happen to him - he wanted the best for Morpheus.

In terms of casting, its a pitty that they didnt put Sparks on the Nebb. I personally think he would have supplied some good comic relief aboard that otherwise serous ship. Not saying link didnt manage to pull it off himself "he's doin his superman thing", but personally, I think Sparks was a better character.

Best line ever:

I don't think you're crazy... I think you have a death wish! A major, full-on Bronson! Since your lives obviously mean nothing to you, I ask you... try to think about something that does have meaning... Namely my life.

....Sparks would have made matrix 2 and 3 100x worse....the wachowski brothers weren't filming a sitcom.  keep sparks in the crappy video game cinematics where he belongs.

I'd sort of have to agree with redalibi here.
Though Sparks is a great character, he's a bit too funny.
Link is the best character for the job imo.
