I just got the game to work with Station Launcher (running on XP) - pretty nifty! Sorry all you Vista users! If it's any consolation now that I've got it working I have to go out - grr!

Anyway, thought I'd point it out for any XP users who haven't tried it yet.

I smell a conspiracy...still not working for me and I have ZERO interest in the Station Launcher...

Well, I only wanted a gimp mask because it'd be hilarious to gank people with, but seeing the area with zerg 55's 56's and 57's I'm going to pass considering it'd take all the machines on vector to be online to do...

I can't remember their regular name due to the glut of ladies boots previously available, but they are the knee high boots with the lace up front.  So, IMO, the nice ones 

Dont they do internal testing with the patch before they release it off to the patch servers for consumer downloading? I mean, how many times has the player had to do a work around for a bug on this game caused by a patch?

to play devil's advocate (from the player's reaction so far that is) I dont think we're giving the devs enough credit for the work they did. Sure soem of you are having legitimate problems, but it seems the real issue is people don't want to mess with a new application just to play the game. yet you still want to complain about it even if the work around does indeed allow game play.

basically suck it up and wait - this stuff (excluding the winter event) will be around till mid January.

or try the work around if you indeed know it will work for you.

Either way the tech team is doing their best to deliver a solution to us, so just be patient

I understand that the dev or devs are working on this issue to solve it for us, but what I dont understand is once the patch was finished and ready for the consumer did they not go through and check the patch servers and the code to make sure it would download correctly by the normal launcher? Which is the most common method most of the players use btw.

I'm totally impressed with the new white halls and construct area, also some of the new winter gear looks awesome

and I really want one of those gimp masks xD

The files are fine and were tested on our test servers. It's deploying them to the Live server that seems to have hit a snag--ie, they don't seem to have arrived where they were supposed to go. And yes, it is very lame.

This isn't something that sort of testing would have captured.  We wish we could predict the future with our testing and know that a certain file would fail in the copying process when patching from one server to another before it ever happened.
