Hope this is correct. I get these weird graphics glitches which I will include some ss of which makes the game unplayable most of the time. I also have a problem where my memory just keeps getting more and more strained the longer I play. Sometimes it takes hours others it crashes in 10 minutes. I don't remember having these problems before all of the ability graphics were added in the game.I didn't really try to get help because it wasn't too much of a problem but since the merger this happens all the time and is getting really flustrating. I can't seem to see a cause of it because it happens at random times. Here are the screen shots.

The problem in 3 and 4 is what happens when I'm outside and causes me to run extremely slow, everything moves slow, can't use hl's or objects but when I enter building the crazy slow effect is gone and I see all the missing textures and weird colors that the other ss's show. I can't determine a single cause of it because it just seems to happen at random times and while I'm doing random things. One of the most common times it seems to happen is when I'm running and not just with hyper-speed or some movement buff. Well hope someone can help if this isn't enough data will try to add more.

Dude, I have the _exact_ same problem and the exact same video
card.  Finally, someone who relates to this problem SMILEY

I tried updating the driver to the newest version I could access last
night, and it played for about an hour, but I tried again today and it
crashed again.

I thought this may be related to the geforce cards because a friend had this same problem happen but not as often as me but I have also talked to someone who had this problem with a ATI card so no clue what it is. Yeah this problem doesn't seem to have a set time that it occurs in sometimes it won't happen for 3-4 hours others it happens within 10 minutes of logging in. :robotsad:

surely theres a way they can fix this becuse i have played for 30 min with my graphics being fine so it  must be  problem with the code not my card.

Raicho,

I've seen some graphics problems related to the newer Nvidia drivers on the older cards, have you tried any older video card drivers?

I'm trying to recreate this on my Shuttle set up (9800 Pro), I'll have some results in about 4 hours after this post.

Raicho,

Hmm I'm starting to think this is more of a patch issue. I'll look into this a bit more.

Well I've had this problem for a long time but it used to not happen quite this often. Since I started trying to get help about it and talking with people in my faction and a few friends I found out alot of people have this problem with both ati and nvidia cards so hope you can figure it out. :smileyhappy:

I'd guess it's heat related once you've ruled out a specific driver version. How's the cooling in your case?

I spent a good 5 hours playing last night but couldn't force a problem
to happen.   I'm guessing heat is factor here.... an all to
familar story.

Unstable overclocks can cause freezing (and sub 1 second loops of sounds). I had this happen to me after 15-20 min of playing any game because I had boosted my overclock to 2.7ghtz without remembering to increase my voltage.

If it is unstability at overclocked (or stock if you haven't overclocked) speed, you will be able to test this by running Prime95 (all 3 for atleast 8 hours each is considered stable).

Heat causes issues very, very similair to unstable overclocks. Unstable overclocks are the result of the transistors not being able to switch from 0v to Vcore fast enough resulting in a 1 being read as a 0. Every extra 10 degrees of heat lower the maximum stable overclock by around 1%-5% (this works in reverse aswell).

Heat issues or unstable overclocks on video cards tend to result in graphical glitches and BSODs instead of freezing so that is unlikely.
