To paraphrase the put-upon GM in the D&D-clone gaming session in a famous "Something*Positive" webcomic:
"The Matrix crashes! Everyone dies!"

For the new players I see checking in, please don't get the wrong idea from the discontent you may read on some of the theads. You have plenty of stuff to do for a while.
Exactly JE, there is a fair bit to do ingame. Just cause theres gonna be no new stuff, doesn't mean that we have nothing. Back when i first started playing, i don't think we had many updates after CR2 went live. Should i have cancelled my sub back then cause of little to no updates?
The game is the same lol I started playing for pvp so well that hasn't changed. People are still there to RP and farm with, as long as they don't get driven away with, 'oh this game is dead', 'no updates, no LE's.' Thats all i piggin hear, no wonder the numbers have dropped if everyone is being so dismal lol
At this point in time, its up to the community to make the game. Make events, tell people about them, turn up for them.

Yeah but I don't think you can sustain a monthly subscription based MMO - especially one whose primary appeal is dynamic, interactive, and ongoing-storyline-based - with a zero-content game. Especially in this economy! I just dont see how you can do that. Have you ever been cruising along the highway at 70 mph and thrown your car into "Park?" Lol same idea, generally unadvised
lol nice analagy (sp? gah who cares )
Yeah i see what your saying but well, we're on the station pass. While people like it or not, that is what is keeping us alive. The more people that decide to unsub cause of no new content, its them thats killing the game..
There is still alot to do ingame. As i'v said, i play to pvp so nothing has changed there (apart from the amount of people logging in at the one time, only reason i miss LE's.) I do wish they would make spawning tools though. Would help with events and general boredom.
Oh also some kind of auto flagging thing that players could control, that would own ha ha

It's not the people unsubbing that's killing the game... it's the REASON people are unsubbing that's killing the game.

Truth.
Case in point...If none of my friends are online, I'm not online. If I'm not hanging out with them, I've got NO reason to be on. No story. No content. Nada. Sad panda.
Exactly, thats what we're seeing everyday. People log in, friends ain't on so they log.
Why did people log in daily? LE's.
So maybe the community needs to try and stick together that bit tighter and maybe do something. Faction events or something, i donno. I ain't a thinker

I don't know what the solution is. Its like both hands are tied behind our backs now with absolute zero support. I can think of some bandaids to allieviate the situation alittle...like a server merge, unlocking the Halloween masks and/or other older content, maybe even a reduced monthly rate. But I don't know if they're even willing to do that.
So...who knows? Looking forward to the Producer's Letter, at least bad news is better than no news. I think we just want to know where we stand so we can proceed from there.
Somewhere, on a distant shore, NT is doing the I-told-you-so dance.

Word. The only reason why I still log in is Cookie and we only go online to farm stuff and help out people.

...this is the sad part in all of this.
