you are able to customize an apartment for free tho right? As in everone has something they can call home and bring people into without having to buy it. I'll be checking it out when I get home from work.

its about a 11 mb dl but it downlods each area to your hd baicly overall it takes 3 gigs of space but each earea you go into is dl and the bigest area you dl is 35mb i think it was  but once you dl the areas you dont have to dl them again till they change somethin with a future update.

Home was one of the few things about the PS3 that's interested me.  I hope it turns out as well the initially released details made it seem like it should.

Well, I checked it out.  Wasn't really impressed, to be honest.

I think it has a lot of potential, but it kinda seems a little too Second Life-ish to me.  I thought the physical character customization was very well done...  but the selection of 'free' items to dress yourself in and decorate your apartment with is very seriously lacking.

Not only that, but the selection of available items to buy is horribly limited too (which I'm sure will change).

It's in beta, so I won't complain too much...  however, I have a very real problem with having to pay real money for items in a beta game.  For it being open beta, everything should be free....  since the game is in test mode.

I'd say that I was against paying money for virtual items, but...  *hides his Fan Faire jeans*

All in all...  it's neat and it has promise.  But as it stands right now, there's not enough variety, paying for a very limited variety of virtual items blows goats, and I got bored fairly quickly.

EDIT:  Oh, and one other thing...  what's up with the only free facial hair items being Chester the Molester moustaches?  Where's mah goat?!
