Posting this for Unknown Shadow since he or she can't post on DN1. Shadow is supposed to speak to with Brad Wilcox, head Exec of SOE Global Customer Services this week to further discuss issues with The Matrix Online. What Shadow would like is for the community here to post some questions so Shadow can ask Mr. Wilcox on our behalf.  Shadow only has two requests

 1-Don't ask any stupid questions.

2-Don't ask anything that would be termed abusive or offensive.

The link is here:

So get those questions out there !

Here's Shadow's complete message:

This is a generic PM that I'm sending out to the MxO players I can find on the station forum.

This is in aid of me needing your help to spread the word on dn1, as I currently can't post there (yay for me). So one of you please, please, please start a thread over on there telling them to come to this thread on the main station forums to express their questions.

Basically, I'm going to be having another chat with Brad Wilcox, head Exec of SOE Global Customer Services this week to further discuss issues with The Matrix Online.

With this conversation, I'll be getting information back but he also wants to talk with me about the larger scope of any game issue.

So, I'm taking this chance to find out what people of the MxO community would say if they were given the chance.

The question has to be sensible and nothing abusive otherwise I'm not going to say it.

Thanks,

Shadow

What kind of subscription or funding increase would it take for LESIG to be disbanded and 1 or more extra Rarebit-types to be hired who could take event pitches from the players and, if approved, help out with those events? Could funding from sources like extra advertising help with this or would more Station passes/Matrix Online subscriptions be necessary. If it is subscriptions, how many more are we looking at before extra funding can be put in place for an extra event handler?

This would enable us to have an actual Live Events Team of some form again, for the player events (which are usually better than the stuff LESIG can do) to get more support, and we wouldn't have to waste our time talking to other players with "semi-official" status just to be put on a list to be included in a weekly show-and-tell with a story character.

As I said in that thread, make sure to read the Producer's Letter to make sure any questions are up-to-date.

I asked Moonlite to provide some feedback on this thread and here are her responses:

Just a couple of things, after looking at the questions, I thought I should give you a heads up on so you understand where everyone fits in this puzzle that is SOE!

Brad is the Executive Director for Global Customer Service.  Effectively he is Moonlite’s boss, and the head of all things Technical support/billing/account and in-game customer service related. Brad oversees these things on all of SOE’s games.
However, he is not in charge of community (forums), or LESIG, or events.

There are some questions I saw on new plans for areas, changes to the game itself by way of development, and unfortunately again this is not Brad’s realm, so it’s unlikely he can assist with any of those type of questions.

The ones on technical support, for sure he can look into those for you!

I'm sure that this new info will help people to make sure that any questions submitted (if any now) are appropriate. Thanks to Virrago for his pro-activeness, and Moonlite for looking over the thread and providing the info.

I don't want to sound like a "rabble-rouser" but it still doesn't hurt to bring any questions to the attention of Mr. Wilcox. He can always say "I really can't answer that" and thats fine and understandable, especially if the questions do not fall under his jurisdiction. But what I would hope for is that if he can't answer some of the questions he can point us in the direction of someone who can (preferably someone in the high ranks that are in charge of Lesig events, community forums and game development).

I would like to state though that the whole objective of this is not to go on a complaining rampage to the higher ups. It's just to get some answers and hopefully come to a few solutions that will hopefully improve this game and increase subscriptions.

My thanks to Virrago for looking into this situation and Moonlight for giving us feedback on this issue! SMILEY It is very appreciated!

To update what I said and for some clarification I received a PM from Unknown Shadow concerning this:

"I'd like you to make a point on there that Brad Wilcox has stated to me that any question he can't answer himself to me that he'll find out an answer for me on it.

He knows the location of that thread because I told him about it and he said he'd keep checking that thread until he talked to me so that he knew what he could and couldn't answer to me over the phone and the rest he will find out answers for us." -Unknown Shadow.

Hey guys! Check it out, TheUnknownShadow has posted the replies to our questions on the thread previously stated above!

Some great answers on there, especially on the second section. A Test Server may not be such an impossibility after all, it seems. However, until we hear we are getting one, who knows what will happen.

Also...sounds like they were surprised we don't have an Animator. There may still be hope SMILEY
