Well, if there's only one guy making the pizzas, and if this "Hut" is actually a Port-a-Potty on the side of a highway, it might be understandable.
I'd like to add that, in a game's programming, fixing a bug is basically editing a typo.
I don't believe anyone is asking for anyone to be replaced, nor trying to kick someone in the wang over nothing. I also believe I mentioned the Q/A team a few times, which Rarebit isn't apart of. I would like, however, for everyone to tack accountability for their failures and to fix them in a timely manner. In this case, Rarebit replacing the absent liasions for which he's responsible for. No, he doesn't need more time, or shouldn't. Two + months is more than enough. I'll also make the point that MxO being under-staffed isn't really my fault, yet we suffer because of it.
Still waiting to hear how Black Formal Gloves are content...
Awesome thread! I started to think I was the only person who had a problem with MxO, teehee. After all this time (been here since launch), my faith in SOE and this game are pretty much at an end.
I can't deny that SOE has done things since taking over. At this point I feel they are just recycling everything. If you look closely you can see where the Area K trench came from for example. I did the Corruptor thing when it first happened. New clothing is not new content to me personally. Changing colours to an existing item and giving it particular "buffs" is not developement to me personally. Adding new, totally revamped combat systems to replace original ones due to flaws is a waste of time and resources. I think working with what we had in the combat area and building on it would have been the way to go. In my opinion the combat is far worse now than it ever was in the original. Not to mention alot less "Matrixy".
I would be happy to pay to play for an extended period of time with the story once again on hold for major content to be worked on and released provided we were kept in the loop on said content. If I found out I waited 12 months for new clothing. . .POOF (head explodes)! Being kept in the loop means telling us what is being planned, then worked on with continued follow ups on said work.
Example: Those areas you can see in the hardline menu. We are working on adding a new neighborhood! It's gonna be "whatever". We plan to have this area ready for release in X amount of time. More details as they become available!
Or: We are (finally) adding Merv's restaraunt! It's gonna be downtown in "wherever". It'll be released in X amount of time!
Or: By the way, Club Hel is now accessible as it used to be and is located on the floor its supposed to be!

Do or wear? Is it commonplace to stand around talking about your oh-so-dark new Formal Black Gloves? Come on, man. You know that's a strech for "content".
PS: Don't assume I don't RP, nub.

I just thought they meant what you had to do to get the gloves as content.
The same X mission you had to do for every other l33t item, like party hats, Smith Pills, etc? Yeah, ok, I can see how that might be viewed as content, but... really, not so much. Roukie, remember in WoW when you did a quest chain and it had an indepth story attached to it (and if you digged deeper, it'd get deeper and deeper) and then when you finished that chain, it'd lead to the next? And the next after that? Ad so on, and so forth? Sure, jst like any MMO and grind is a grind and there is always going to be some redundancy to it. But when it's packaged up with some depth to it, it's less... well, redundant. Lets take my care-package idea, for instance. Is there any logical reason why this can't be done? It's nothing more than a new critical mission, isn't it? Lets say, you ding level 20. You get a quest to Meet Agent Gray. He congratulates you on your hard work thus far, yada yada yada, and rewards you with... something. A gun, jacket, a PDA that summons some Agent spawn to bail you out when you agro way too many NPCs in one misison area. *CENSORED* anything! Why can't this be done in intervals of 20, 40 and the big 50? Why can't there be like, rep rewards for achieveing maximum rep. It's nothing more than a NEW critical mission. Honestly, from what I see, it's laziness, and nothing more. That's content.
Screw a typo.

I know what your care-package idea, but sadly Rarebit would rather tip-toe around LESIG and do bare minimum missions to work on a quest that what.. could take a week to program? The only problem I've ever had with you Vit was the constant whining about "omg no content" "lol i'm leaving" sad shite that I see day to day from people about to leave. At that breaking point myself, I apologize for everything I said that involved that. I was infact going to unsubscribe quietly at 52 because the Corrupted thing pissed me off, but the combat change made me come back in. I like it. We can complain, we can hope, we can pray, but will it work out in the end? It depends on our devs. They have my subscription until Warhammer comes out (if it doesn't suck)
No, roukan, it won't. And, honestly, what in the last year has given you reason to believe it will. I mean, do you really think the combat system is going to be as-designed anytime soon? Face facts, that project was the only improvement this game will ever see (major improvement), and it's a stretch to even call it that. It's broken, pure and simple. I doubt many would argue that. What we have done, however, is learned to work with a broken system (and many have even managed to find those fun exploits along the way). All this other stuff is just crap. Come on, seriously, Black Formal Gloves as content? No new misson to get them. No new means to obtain them. It's just re-hased shite from a year ago, with a different animated monster to kill. Was there a official tie-in to the MxO storyline involved with these? Hell, did the entire event even tie-in with the official storyline? No. It's no different than any other event to obtain "content". Which, in my opinion, is really boring, moreso than it was two years ago. It's just time they did something. Something new, would be a nice change. Bare minimum is just... ugh.
I get it, Rarebit and Co. work hard, yaadaayaadaa. But really, what IMPROVEMENTS have been made? Like, at all? What is better now than it was a year ago? What has been PROACTIVELY fixed? (I'm asusming nothing, since every major release ever has caused a major server melt-down-- and then took days to fix fully).
No, I don't mean to come across as a MXO doomslayer, really. There's a ton I love about it, why else would I keep my subscription? I'm just wondering, this game really has people working on it full-time? And, if so, what the *CENSORED* do you do all day?

Yeah, but the hard part is trying to find the typo. Have you seen some of the game files? Not pretty.
