Another bug, 1.1.1 Machine

I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem.
On Machine Archive Mission 1.1.1 - you are required to take 'Mosquito' to 'Finsen'. When you get to the room Finsen is in, Mosquito automatically toggles of Follow, and walks away in the wrong direction - rendering you incapable of finishing the mission.

I have repeated the missions three times, to the same effect each time.

Before entering the room.

After entering the room.

And yes, I am /bugging all of these.

Some mission areas don't play well with certain missions. I've noticed this kind of bug in several other crits, and it seems to be linked to stairs and doors (where the npc is required to follow a special path to maneuver through the terrain).

The best fix I've found is to try other mission areas until you get one that works. All of the archives can be completed, otherwise no one would ever have earned the archive clothes.

Well yeah

, I just got three in a row with the same problem - so I didn't know if anyone else was having a similar problem on just this mission, or if like you said it was an NPC path problem. Thanks for clarifying that it is just a path problem though. SMILEY

If you wait a little bit and let her go to the destination she is walking to you complete the mission.

Cheers. I've tried all around town to do it and it keeps doing the same thing no matter the building.

I seem to recall one of these archive missions where you had to lead an NPC to a phone junction box in one of the residential buildings, and she would keep losing her pathing coming up the stairs.
It took about 10 tries to get her to the box. and of course it was the last thing to do in a 10 minute mission.
