community isssues?

soe issues?

i know that a lot of people, mainly gamers are going to have something negative to say about this post, but at this point, im like whatever...

i have been playing matrix online since it went live, the only real major upgrade i have seen was cr2.0.

buddy keys? lol

ummm , i suggest that we all realize that the matrix online is with soe now and they boast about being a leader in the gaming world and i would like to see them prove it. stop saying that and show us that the company is what it say it is.

community issues; i am in the community and i want more than info about what is happening with players inside the game or live events.

i want expansion paks which include levels 51-101, new districts, more open doors in the while hallways, more comstructs, and improved graphics.

i know soe has the manpower to do such things, they have the technology and the money to get it done.

this is how they can do it

create a special project team for matrix online; 25-100 game developers to take apart the code, redesign it from the ground up; polish it, re-write the trees to include new levels, new abilities and such then u put it on disk and package it.

then u create the endgame/crash of the existing matrix complete with a serious live event

after which soe will ship the expansion pak to stores so people can purchase and you call it...

matrix infinity (or just version SMILEY

Sounds good as normal.

Ideas to make the forum are welcome, can always check ouy yhr thread on the general boards for that.

Cant wait for the buddy keys!!
I've figured it out. Cheerleading = favors = namechanges = moderator sanctioned spamming!
You have seriously gotta get over it.

And you have seriously gotta quit spamming these boards for post count and pet status. There is seriously nothing informative, inquisitive, or ingenious about that post.

As to this "insight into the development of the game," well. . . .it's not. Just wondering out loud here but, since this is Raijin's only responsibilty with this game, shouldn't we expect a little more? I mean Walrus had two separate major responsibilities, and still took the time to keep us better informed than this. Because it is, after all, the only place we can get the official word about the health of the game, future developments, the people in charge, acknowledgments of problems, etc etc. . .

That has got to be the most *CENSORED* post i have read on these forums.  A person stands up tries to become invloved in our community and develop some ideas, get some story off the ground and you just rail on him?

Yeah, I can see why that would be, since you've only been here all of what, 10 minutes?

Which one are you even talking about? 'Cause if it's Havo, then don't sweat it. . .his skin's thicker than most. Besides, he knows he is doing it, and we know he's doing it. I got nothing personal against him, but I said what I said 'cause I'm tired of like every third post being his thoughts on the two posts before it.

If it's Raijin you're concerned about, well, look at the difference between the OSOTLG and the TTLG and tell me you don't see a major, glaring difference? It is the one place we get the official behind the scenes word about this game. No where else. I'd like to see more. If he comes back and says, "dude, I'd tell you more but that's all they tell me," I'd be a little easier going about it. It's just the way I understand it, they separated the jobs so that more focus could be put on those jobs. So far, these TTLG's don't represent a focused effort to me.

The truth is better than "wai2go, Uroxorz!!!11!!+1" anyday. Besides, this is just my opinion, right?

So truth be told, The Matrix online is not the only community that I manage. PlanetSide and to some extent Pirates are also my responsibility (I think I've mentioned I manage PlanetSide a little while back). That does not exactly affect the information that I'm able to post about though.

I believe the major difference is that Walrus did have that producer hat on and he knew everything going on in MxO and he could easily write about that. I don't happen to be in those same shoes so the articles are not going to match up, that's also partly why the change in the name of the article -- to signify that they are 2 different articles.

I know everyone wants to hear things about development and I'll do what I can to get that information out in TTLG but remember it's not always going to be the same information as you've seen in the past and it most likely won't be as abundant.

Actually they do have a pretty neat community there. It's a trading card game, but a bunch of the players chipped in for a "common pool" so that new players can get a few more cards to round out their decks. That's the first time I've seen that in an online trading card game -- it's also pretty dang neat that they thought to do that.

Ah. Guess its just me, I didnt think that sort of thing would take up that much time. Planetside, I could kind of see [I beleive you mentioned new developments coming soon for PS], but then again, the time split doesnt seem that harsh to an outsider. Im sure in reality it is, we just cant see it from here, and the problem is we only see the things that are going to affect us. IE: Lack of overall content in lg that we're used to. I wouldnt expect a change in over all opinion to be honest, as I dont see many MxO players suddenly picking up Pirates or PS.

you know what....I COMPLETELY AGREE...."The Matrix Unlimited" (be almost the same just improved graphics, add server stabability, one or 2 new servers, new abilities, animations, clothes, looks, tatoos, hair, colors, etc.) because I know for a fact that SOE has the man power to do....besides look at swg if they can change it upgrade/add to it that MUCH then i know they can spare some ppl to add more to MxO its a awsome idea just needs a makeover. (i love it as it is but u know its like say o ya i love my house as it is but you know i could spend X amount of money and have even better house)

Meh, I quite like the fact I don't know every single thing coming up ingame for the coming weeks - considering how stretched the dev team are in terms of actually being able to put new additions into the game, half the fun is gone when we do get new stuff because there's no surprise to it.

Why, exactly, has it been so hard to get the Buddy Keys up and running? Surely there is a thread somewhere about this, however the search "feature" isn't worth a *CENSORED*.

Yeah it's partly coordinating with marketing and getting all the approvals, it takes a bit of time and we're pretty close here.

We've "been getting close" since the first week of the anniversary event, what is i might add, when they were supposed to be out. That was the whole god darn point. Now we've missed it and theres nothing particularly exciting going on to keep new players.

*sigh*

uhh....SOE...no offense to any one at SOE but, ya I've played nearly every MMO you've made Except for EQ/EQ2...and I KNOW! THAT YOU GUYS/GIRLS at SOE can do a hell of alot better....IDK if its just cause you want to phase this game out (which would SUCK BALLS!!!) or what but you need to put more ppl on the DEV team for MxO take some away from others that have an excess of DEV's...SWG they have like 3 animators...and MxO doesn't even get 1!!! and Vanguard...once agian No offence but, only ppl who can spend about $4,000 on a new computer (or have already spent that on one) can play I know i got it when it came out (*CENSORED* 9+gig download)  and i couldn't even play it with a brand new graphics card 2 gig's of ram and a new proccessor......i had to play it on lowest possible settings with no sound and only got bout 10fps at max....so PLEASE SOE ethier remake this game or Revamp it or just add more dev's....EXSPECIALLY AN ANIMATOR!!!!! we have begged for new abs but that can't happen because of animations, we've begged for new areas..needs an level designer (idk if we have one or not). but come on plz plz plz plz plz plz plz Revamp/make/update(major update)/add an expansion to this game.

Sincerly,

               Kektari.
