Don't spurs get off to a slow start every season though? Selling your top striker at the last minute, though. That's crazy.

Berba wanted to go at the end of the day, and it was fairly obvious he'd leave.

keke, Strachan says Celtic are out if they lose. So, I guess I'll be celebrating Celtics Champions League demise after 2 games tonight. They'll have lasted aslong as Rangers, technically. SMILEY

I want them to do well to be honest.  Anything that is going to give us that title back with ease is surely a good thang! SMILEY

Fair point, actually. I'm easy either way. If they get knocked out, it's funny, if they don't it's good for our co-efficient, thats the stance I take. Plus, they'll probably drop into the UEFA cup rather than going completely out. So they'll still be tiring themselves out.

So Celtic stumbled to a 1-0 defeat against Villareal and their chances of making the last 16 are pretty much gone. The fact that they have taken 1 point from a possible 51 points in the history of the champions league away from home tells its own story. They did seem to play well in spurts but Villareal had too much class for them on the night. In the same group Man United got their campaign off an running winning 3-0 against Aalborg comfortably.

I'm a little disappointed with Zenit losing again, I really thought they could trouble Juve and Real but it looks like they might struggle.

Scotland have managed to secure a friendly with Argentina in November and the prices of tickets are cheaper than originally expected, thankfully so hopefully I'll be able to go to that.

Looking forward to seeing how Cluj do against Chelsea tonight and there's some other fairly exciting ties going on.

Berbatov finally got on the score sheet for Man U.

Gotta worry about Celtic facing a Man U that are finding form too.  Doesnt look like their terrible away form in Europe is going to get any better anytime soon either.

Arsenal bounced back last night too.  Pumped Porto 4-0!  From the highlights i have to say it should have been double that.

Last night was a bad night for Chelsea, they drew 0-0 in Cluj, just and Didier Drogba was struck down with a serious injury. Liverpool on the other hand cruised to a 3-1 win, Gerrard got his 100th Liverpool goal and in contrast, but equally important, Keane got his first. Atheletico Madrid kept up their awesome form, beating Marseille 2-1. Sergio Aguerro showing why he's the most talented youngster in the world right now. I suppose the only other shock of the night went to Famagusta beating Panathinaikos.

UEFA Cup tonight, 4 English teams and 1 Scottish team are playing. Good luck to them.

Well Spurs scraped through along with Portsmouth, Aston Villa and Man City but Motherwell and Everton were knocked out. To be honest, it doesn't suprise me that either dropped out. Motherwell didn't seem strong enough mentally to cope with european football and Everton did the damage when they lost 2 away goals in the 2-2 draw at Goodison.

I was hoping Motherwell could get the first goal. That would have brought the game alive. But their defense i rotten. So glad Rangers didn't sign Mark Reynolds. He's just to short to be a center back imo.

Broadfoot seems to be coming on to game. Amazing performance at Easter Road (Hate going to Hibs).

Walter is a smart guy, a big reason that Broadfoot is in good form is because he has Davis in front of him who does work back and help out unlike Burke, who is just horrible and hasn't gotten better in the 5 years he's been 'on the scene'.

Reynolds form has dipped this year, he showed real class last year but was really found wanting when he stepped up to play in Europe.

AGAIN I have to miss the match due to the Rangers match conflicting with my own teams start time. ~_~

Well, I'm glad I missed the Rangers game this weekend. 1-0 Loss to St Mirren leaves Celtic top of the league on goal difference after they beat Hamilton 4-0. At least my team won again, 4-1.

Liverpool showed their mental strength and desire to win the Premiership by coming back from 2 goals down to Billionaires Man City to win 3-2. Tottenham AGAIN lost, this time to Hull City and I'll be suprised if Ramos lasts this month as manager, although they do play Stoke next so perhaps they can grab the points there. Sunderland managed a draw with Arsenal, although they were in a winning position with seconds to go but a point off one of the big four is always good and Chelsea made it 86 league home games without defeat, a run which spans 4 years, beating Aston Villa 2-0.

Yes.

I still don't think they have the tools to win it this season, but this is certainly a Liverpool team with a great deal more belief than ever before.  I attribute it to having a genuine world-class goalscorer up front, something we haven't had since pre-Madrid Owen.

World Cup qualifiers this week and Scotland have already lost Kevin Thomson and Kenny Miller to injury which is bad news, though it should allow McFadden and the prolific Boyd to start up front which might be for the best anyway.

England are without Joe Cole which is bad news for them as Cole has been in great form for them in the past couple of qualifiers and Lampard and Barry were exceptional against Croatia so, does Gerrard walk right back into the team?

Shouldnae make too much difference to England ... theyre still rubbish.  Cut their pay packets and get rid of the prima donna attitudes and they might actually do something worthwhile.  When you look at the England team on paper they look amazing.. shame they cant make it happen really.. saying that as a Scot i dont think i could handle seeing England win something in my lifetime!
