After reading a few threads, and 9mmfu's post about how initiative works, I'm going to see if I have this right and ask a few questions:
The initiative bonuses from Vitality, and clothes that have initiative bonuses are useless unless you have Desperation. The bonuses only work during the time period that Desperation is running.
Originally I heard that initiative was used to decide who wins rolls during specials (i.e. someone does a Pistol Aerial and someone else does a Pistol Barrage, and whoever has the higher initiative wins). But now I'm hearing that initiative just adds an accuracy bonus. So really, intiative = accuracy, and initiative isn't a totally different thing like I was thinking. So is it Accuracy vs Accuracy, or Accuracy vs. Defense to decide who wins the roll?
I think the gurus here will understand this but just to make it simpler (for me, at least)
(just random numbers here) Person 1 has 50 accuracy, and 45 defense. Person 2 has 40 accuracy but 55 defense. They both try to do a special. Does person 1 win the roll due to the higher accuracy, or does person 2 win due to higher defense?
Thanks for the help.
