I have an onboard Audigy 2 and it works fine with MxO. I do have sound issues from time to time and to fix that all I have to do is change the settings back to the default settings in the Audigy's software. Keep in mind I never change the settings myself and haven't been able to narrow down which program I have on my pc that does keep changing it. I am at work and can't post the steps, but if anyone wants to try it let me know and I will post the steps when I get home this evening.
Hope this helps.

I have had the same exact problem Adnihilo is describing and have also tried everything I can find posted on the subject with no success.
-Turned of EAX
-Turn off hardware acceleration in Directx
-Updated ALL drivers to latest versions
-Deleted profile folder and performed full patch
-Tried /radio stop
-Manipulating selections in the in-game audio tab
As Adnihilo has also indicated this is a problem with the in game-music ONLY, not a radio or other audio problem. I have all other in game sounds; footsteps, helicopter, etc. and full radio functionality, just no in-game music. Jumping to another hardline location has no affect. If anyone has found a solution or something else to try please let us know. I have found the folder with the in game music on my hard drive and played a few of the tracks so I feel like I am missing out!
