I'm new to MxO so please excuse me for sounding slightly stupid SMILEY

I don't know if everyone has had the same problem but creating an account for this game was not easy. It has taken me over two hours just to come up whit a station name. Then after another hour of game download and patch updating, the darn thing won't go passed the creat a character. Is this a current or old issue, do I need to reinstall the game? I doubt that its my computer, but one never knows. Please help.

Thanks.

Boriqua,

What happens when you try to go past character creation, can you give me any specifics?

What happens is; after I enter my name and password patch takes me to the system update, once that is complete I pres CONTINUE, I then select a server (Have try then all) after that I'm supposed to go to CREAT a character and that is when nothing happens. Is like I lose connnection. I don't get any blue screen, nor do I crash. At first I though it was my Firewall, but I've fixed the access to MxO and it shouldn't be a problem. My internet connection is working fine.

I did go once in to the character creation and was able to select hair, body, tatoo etc; but was not able to give it a Handle. After several tries I gave up and closed the game, looged off. That was only once since Monday. I haven't been able to get there again.

Boriqua,

It does sound like the client is lagged behind the server. Is there anything running in your background? Any security programs perhaps?

Only Nortoin AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security.

Make sure that both are allowing full access to MXO. If already done, I'd ask you to disable both and try running the game.

Let me know.

I disabled both of them and nothing. Same status.

I finally made it in. After I disable Norton Internet Security and AntiVirus I realized that it was another program that was still running, and prevented the connection. Thanks for the help.

Many, many thanks TSR-BILL:smileyvery-happy:

I don't understand, I'm back to square 1 again. Having the same issues as before. The server connectoin won't come up. I have a character but I can't play it. Please help? This is really upseting. If nothing can be done I hope I can get a refund because I've spend more time dealing with issues than actually playing, and I payed to play not to fix bugs. It's really disapointing.

What was the other program you disabled before which allowed you to create your character?

Do you have a router?

Have you told Norton Internet Security to allow connections to MxO on all ports?

Jeffers is on the right track. If disabling did help you with the issue you need to be sure your security programs are allowing full access to MXO.

I don't remember the name of the program, Jeffers, TSR-Bill. But I deleted it and I have disable Norton's Antivirus and Firewall. It should work if that is the problem. I am totally at a lost here. I can't figure this one out and unfortunately by the time the weekend comes, there won't be any customer support to help me. This is really a conundrum. I would like to get this issue fixed before the weekend.

Also I submitted an email at the KNOWLEDGE BASE/EMAIL SUPPORT with all my details including System Information and DXDIAG report but I haven’t received any feedback. Does anyone know the time period a customer has to wait to get a response?

Should be within a day, but if you can, post the system info here.

Could I email you the information instead? I'm a bit standoffish at posting my comps details on a public forum. I think you can understand.
