I'd like to thank everyone who helped save Sarah Edmonton's friend, Rachel, from the Machines. I'd particularly like to recognize Rashahd and yeaman for their vital roles in this operation. Rachel is safe, and gaining strength rapidly.

But there are many more endangered potentials on the recruiting lists stolen from Zion by the Machines. We must work every minute to save as many as we can.

This is why I have decided to strongly advocate that this organization proceed unmolested, specifically in regards to finding the whereabouts of Miss Edmontons (and all of its implications).  Of course, if we can find any clues to solve this case ourselves, so much the better.  But if not us, let it be E Pluribus Neo.

If nothing else, for curiousity alone.

To quote Mon Patron:

Congratulations on the successful operation.  I think we'll have gained a powerful ally in Ms. Dunkirk, provided she doesn't let her emotions over her friend Sarah get in the way of her reason.  Welcome to the real world, Rachel.

...couple things.  Firstly, good event.  I'm glad we got to see at least a hint of Sarah.  SMILEY

Wow!  I never noticed before but since the shiny update everyone's belts look FANTASTIC!  SMILEY  And I don't know what it was, but Rachel's eyes look amazing!  lol

*CENSORED* I wish I had a graphics card that made things look like that.  The only thing I've got going for me is that I have a nice big screen so my pictures look better when I shrink them down.

I need to get some money.  SMILEY

Hmm, the folks in that event (mostly the players) seemed to suggest that they knew where Sarah was, and Rachel seemed to take the pill on the assumption that it would lead her to Sarah - won't she be a bit annoyed when she finds out Sarah's not in Zion...or is there something I missed?

Looked like a fun event however wouldn't it have been more exciting if it was actually Sarah they were freeing? Maybe the story goes she was awakened in secret and now her friends who are also part of the 1% who reject the matrix are being freed too. Maybe they will all form a crew.

I'm very glad to see more of the Sarah plot. Methinks the girl should look up the Merovingian though...

She took the pill because of how she thought about Sarah, or at least she thought you understood...
That is emotion standing in the face of reason. That woman was probably scared for her life,
a bunch of people bust in on her evening after killing government workers outside and practically
forced her, by way of ganging up on her to swallow something she had no idea about.
I wonder if she'd have made the same choice if it was just Shimada who approached her...
Well... time will tell if she'll be able to survive the process, after all, it is dangerous to disconnect minds
that have been dependant on the simulation for too long.
Plus as soon as she is made aware of the whole truth and not some half-truth spinned off by a terrorist
organisation in order for her to join their ranks, if she was indeed reasonable and intelligent, would
probably tell you where to go.
The only reason why you risked what you did was because you though she was special in some
way, although you have no evidence. She was a friend of someone who make a remarkable recovery
in hospital and by coincidence the name of this person happened to share the same letters as
someone you idolise, even if his ideals have been twisted his to suit your own leaders'.

The poor child obviously was looking for her friend, non of the epn have a clue where that friend went but that didnt stop them from conning rachel into taking a pill...... it wasn't choice it was just another mindless selfish act by a worthless organisation that is obsessed with finding some superbeing to compensate for its own ineptitude!

((*sigh* SMILEY                    ))

What a curious woman...

I should have been there to help, saying things like "We'll take you to Sarah" "Come with us and we'll show what happened to Sarah..." it's just wrong.

My thoughts have been troubled with things of this nature recently. We shouldn't force our ideals onto others and equally shouldn't try to deceive individuals to join us. It's for reasons like this how wars continue and more and more bad blood builds up between groups.

True, the woman was indeed in danger, yet I feel we may have done this all wrong. Perhaps I'll be proven wrong, perhaps she'll thank us, yet she spoke to us and ended up taking that pill because we knew what she was feeling about Sarah... or so we said.

The main faults of ourselves (and I include myself in this) is that we assume what we're doing is right and *CENSORED* the concequences and whoever might get trampled along the way.

For once I agree with a Merovingian operative. That woman was afraid. She had been looking for her friend for ages and we come crashing in, guns blazing outside, freaking her out. I know that she's a friend of Sarah Edmontons but that's no excuse. The things she saw that night... tens of our operatives, Machine security and even Agents. I'm amazed she didn't pass out with the stress of such a thing.

Regardless, now she's out, so hopefully there won't be any harm in removing someone of her age from the system. We need to learn better ways to do this.

Bless all forms of intelligence, even when we forget why we should...

Khep, I was in the middle of it - I was there to see all of it happen, and it wasn't a clean operation. She was afraid for her life and confused about her friend and everything that was going on around her. However, she told us the machines got to her long before we did and she didn't believe them.

The reason we went ahead with the extraction was because she had already started to question what the machines were telling her. As Shimada and I talked to her, we started to see that things didn't make sense to her and that she knew something wasn't right. This started back when Sarah disappeared - long before we showed up. But because of our current situation, we weren't in a position to do it quietly like we're used to.

No we don't know what happened to Sarah, and we told her that. I stated several times during the interview, to Rachel and everyone else there - she needed her space and a chance to stop and make the decision for herself. Having people force her to take the pill is just as bad as keeping her from getting out, and that we'd be doing her a disservice by not allowing her to think on her own.

The machines are playing for keeps - they have the list of potentials and are intercepting them and their friends and families. To be blunt, we can't do clean extractions like we used to. I wish it could have been easier and not gotten as messy, but that isn't the case now. I defend her extraction, but I agree that we need a better way to do this. This war needs to end before both sides lose more than they can handle.

Fortunately, we've been working to rebuild her since we picked her up, and she's going to pull through.

I was about to blast EPN for this, seeing how she was tricked into taking the redpill like so many others. It's nice to see for once one of you realizes how you pulled this one off wasn't quite correct.

((btw, Sarah Edmontons mention=ftw, I'm hoping that it comes into play next subchapter. However, it may be like the Morpheus sim, and this just be the beginning of a string of mentions before we find out the truth))

Sometimes I agree this orgainsation does act imature. Sarah is a theory nothing more at the moment. It could be just a glitch within the system as to why she walked away from the hospital. I also hope that she did infact want to take the redpill and be free from the bondage of slavery...Jesus I am getting softer...

(( Nice eventSMILEY, maybe some conclusion soon to Sarah?SMILEY, Shimda is looking so badass I <3 her, BTW new Zion/EPN character please Rarebit?SMILEY))
