I have been trying these today and the 50% chance of ball dmg never seems to come on.  Looking at the ballistic damage stats it does not chance apart from when I'm dazed

Have these ever worked or am I just being stupid?

All clothing procs are only triggered when that clothing slot is hit when you take damage. So...

  • Take damage
  • System randomly selects a clothing slot
  • If clothing has proc chance it is rolled for

Well I have been wearing them for half an hour with no success.  I will keep trying.

edit:  ahh so its a 1 in 7 chance the system selects the clothing slot with a 50% chance of the buff being activated.

Odd, I've got some of them too. They nearly always work in a fight.

These are actually half broken. Sweeps and Anti-pills remove the ballistic damage buff.

I don't use them anymore, but always used to and they worked rather often for me too.  Guess I was just lucky  lol

That 7% chance of them activiting isnt that great when its 1 vs 1 but I suppose when there are multiple hostiles al shooting at you it will seem alot more.  At level 39 you only gain an extra 9pts of ballistic damage which isnt much to get excited about as it isnt all that noticeable.

The pre-nerfed ones were a lot healthier. 20 or 25pts, I believe it was.

Unfortunately, they are no longer available.

I already did a /bug in game, I let XXT know and he posted it here as well.


9mmfu, when you say the system randomly selects a clothing slot, you mean only 1 slot is affected per each time damage is taken?

Do empty clothing slots still have a chance of being selected?  i.e. if I only wore the gloves they would grant the buff 50% of the time.

Does this system also affect how clothing looses stability?

Does the tool slot act as a 'clothing slot' too?  Cause my Prision Mastery Device lost half a point of stability.
