Maybe SOE has better insight on this than the former tech folks.
Here is my issue - I go into the game just fine, and things work okay. However, come time around either 8 or more people are in the area, or else especially during player vs player fights, my computer suddenly freezes and reboots.
I am using an NVidia video card, AMD 2.0 ghz processor, 1 gig memory. WinXP SP2
I've heard all sorts of excuses/fixes and none have worked. It has made me turn away from the Matrix game and play World of Warcraft. I was waiting until SOE took over tech and billing support fully before I brought up this issue again...so now I am.
It seems to involve the number of 'hacks' going off, on how fast I slow down to a crawl, then freeze and the entire computer does a reboot. To me, this is a memory leak of some sort. I have gone to the extent of turning everything off as services...the problem still exists. It existed before I put on SP2, so that's not the culprit either.
My guild can attest to the amount of fustration this has caused me. If tech support, or anyone else for that matter, has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. I want to play this game again, but considering the guild I am in, I need to be able to PvP.
