hmm... not a sharp fellow are you?

ever heard of a freeborn? you know, someone who's born in the real?
and what about sati? a program born (created) out of love? whats to stop an exile jealus of humans giving life programming to simulate pregnancy to simulate child birth for their new program?
and who said they got pregnant in the matrix? that's physically impossible.

so to sum up.
WROOOONG!
Wasn't Persephone trying to get knocked up before Niobe busted in?

Well, Perse and Merv were definately having some... quality time together, though I always had the feeling those two hadn't had any in decades, for whatever reason (probably because of him playing the field). I somehow don't see those two having kids, or if they did, they'd probably farm them out to L'Ecole de la Tour (the exclusive school for young Exiles that the Merv maintains, according to the old strategy guide).

And don't worry, Fen, Sieges's baby-daddy is obviously going to be her true love and husband-to-be, Nucl3ar (Not that there's anything really going on between me and Nuc's player: we're just so good at the RP that some folks have asked if he and I really are an item. :: Laughs:: ))

Well... I suppose since your RSI is just code, it's possible, but I don't think it could be done in the Real. Maybe if you're an Exile or something.

I noticed some players discussing real time versus MxO time.  Yea the daylight in game may lead one to believe this, however the truth of the matter is.

MxO time = Real Time

In terms of the story line, it has just been a little over 2 years (i.e. the end of MxO's 2nd Anniversary Event) since Neo sacrificed himself at the end of The Matrix Revolutions.

1. "REDPILLS DO NOT GET PREGNANT!!!!!" Says who? Show me proof, and I'll listen; otherwise, *CENSORED*.

2. "wouldn't show in the Matrix" See question #1.

3. "cuz being in a pod 1/2 your life probably killed ...you know" Then it killed your todger, too.

4. "And EXILES don't have babies either"  One word: Kamala.  Sounds like someone didn't watch the whole trilogy.

Yes, you do, sistah! Nice to see someone else playing a gal speak up on this subject.

In the end, I've decided to take an interesting tack on this idea, one which I hope to set in motion and start posting about soon. Not to let out too much, but it involves creating children who will have the wherewithal to enjoy the best of both sides of the looking glass, but it won't be -- as I'd originally thought when I decided to undertake this completely new angle -- a rehash of "Morning Sickness", one of the "Matrix" comics availible through the official site for the series, aka whatisthematrix.com.

Whether the child is concieved the old-fashioned way, or we run the idea I'm working on, the wee one's daddy will be Sieges's husband Nucl3ar.

I'm very intrigued by this idea. I've only just read this and already I can think of philisophical implications it brings up, like the mental strain of the Matrix on the mother and the baby, and when the baby begins to be cognitive, will that manifest itself in the Matrix?

Oh, and to answer the statement that exiles don't have kids: Dame White and Mr. Black have a half dozen of em, and Black has one bastard (Grisaille) out of wedlock, so yes, they can procreate. And Machine AI can do the same as seen in Sati.

While I'd put up a different argument as to why someone shouldn't RP a pregnancy, you're wrong.

In the Real, a podborn certainly can carry a baby to full term. It's obvious by the fact that there's homegrown individuals in Zion without the plugs in their bodies. The Redpills' genitalia still works just fine. And Exiles can certainly reproduce as well, although it's in a fashion unlike carrying a child in the womb, as far as we know. Dame White and Mr. Black have several children. Hence, the Spectrum family.

The reasons why I don't see this as something to RP have more to do with how I perceive it as "overboard RP." From my understanding of how the Matrix works, if someone DOES happen to give birth inside of the Matrix it would merely be to continue the creation of machine-made humans. Those who raise the child in the Matrix wouldn't necessarily be biological parents, but then they wouldn't know the difference as Bluepills. I think these details are open to speculation to some degree, but I also feel that getting an official answer, confirming this one way or the other, is a waste of time. It falls into the category of 'too much information.'

The details as to whether or not Kamala and his wife conceived Sati in the same way that humans do are not known. It's possible that since they are programs they were created and merely existed as they were. Sati may not age at all. The Machines merely saw her as expendable, therefore were going to delete her.

I think it all depends on how they conceive the child. The dynamics of it have not been stated, so who knows.

I don't think sex between two RSI's would conceive a child. however if one were conceived in The Real, or the Pregnant Redpill was realesed from the pod while pregnant (remember, we don't know how the machines made babies, so some liberties are allowed), then it should have some interesting affects
