Time & Bandwidth saving tip:
- Back up your Matrix Online folder ( c:\program files\monolith productions\the matrix online\ ) after every update that works successfully.
- If you don't have space for a full backup, at the very least back up your profile folder ( c:\program files\monolith productions\the matrix online\profiles\ ) as this will save your hotbar, interface and map settings.
- If you have the space it pays to keep alternating backups, incase one is faulty you can restore the other one.
If you ever need to reinstall the game, copy the back up over the fresh install immediately after the install finishes. This will bring the files up to date. It is important that you install first so that the installer adds itself to the windows registry properly and doesn't overwrite your game files.
IMPORTANT: Never back up the directory if the game isn't working properly as you may restore faulty files.
