I'm coming back to try out the game again. I've heard Rarebit left (hopefully they're going to supply a new Dev and not kill the game entirely), though I do miss the subject matter and atmosphere that this game presented. I also don't know of many other MMO's that incorporate Martial Arts in the way that this one presents itself.
I couldn't get very far the last time I tried the game out a few years ago. I was playing on a very old computer and was having loading problems the whole time. I do think I made it to the 20-30 level range before giving up, though. The interiors in the buildings weren't so bad for playing on that old rig, but the outside murdered me.
I've completely forgotten how to play, and most of the guides I've read are pretty out-dated.
If I remember correctly, though... you can pretty much buy all of the skills and change your loadout any time you want. Freedom like that is what brings me to games. I don't want to be stuck in some archetype/profession and not be able to change what my character can learn. At least this system fits into the theme of the Matrix easily. It also makes it easier not to really screw up anything... so many games force people to restart if they mess up their stats or skills.
I guess I'll see you guys over on Syntax. Not sure if I'll keep my old character (if he's still around). I may just start over to re-learn the ropes or whatever...
