So I finally got in the game since before the Anniv update. I read the notes and saw that the info is x3. Awesome! That's over half a mill per tap, right? Wrong. So I find a friend who has a datamine tap luggie and accidentally shoot him while trying to /tipHEADGEAR. =P 
Cool. There are 2 luggies and I find a Merv who has one. I swoop in and get killed but the stake of a luggie makes for an exciting battle. 
So I reconstruct and head back in. I engage and get killed again. 
:o| So funny. It was a cool battle, though. I think I tracked this person to the elevator and got surprised from a sniper shot. I am causing some damage, so maybe I'll win this next time... 
It was still exciting and I figure maybe if I am persistent enough this person will leave and I can get the luggie by default. And if not, combat is actually fun for a nice change even though I can't cause more than 65% damage. 
So I reconstruct again and try a sneak attack. After about 4 rolls I reconstruct again. 
Yeah, that's an oldie but a goodie. Anyway, back to the battle! I think this next time my health bar looks like ||||||||||||||||||||| and I hyper-jump away. 
Well, I would, but I have this thing about attacking my own org. Personally, I think I take RP way too seriously. Or maybe I just like the other luggie-holder and don't want to bother their farming. And speak of the devil: 
YAY! Now I'll make oodles of info! You gain 35k?!?! WTEFF?!?! Oh well, at least I can farm in peace. That is until I get hunted by the same Merv... /bow

The times when you wish there was a Binky/pacifier luggable you could drop onto the whiny babies that show up... I wonder if any of the devs who have to put up with people's disgraceful senses of entitlement ever get tempted to code up a permanent Binky-ed effect and apply it to repeat offenders. Though there again, that would look pretty dang wierd...

He means that unlike other luggables, which give you various passive buffs just by having them in your inventory, the data-mining luggable is a usable tool. You use the luggable as a data tap instead of your normal data tap.
