Interesting, but not unexpected.
Don't get so worked up about a delay on the patch. I mean, it happens everytime, doesn't it? Only because this will be our last update ever ... uh oh ... I just said it.

Not surprized, Rare killed all three servers in the past 3 days. Wonder what kind of testing they need done on it, if only we had an External playtest server or something.

The RSICaptureAbility and game objects of Headgear/Area K are already tested, pointing them to new .txas or .moas wouldn't conceivably "hold up" a patch. The texture handling is fairly flexible, plug and play. Clone an item, change the txa rezID, good to go.
So the question is, what is being tested that would require a delay? Maybe the Vista fixes?

It can only be: every player will receive an FM-1500, and the mobs are being suitably reinforced.
Lets hope this patch is godly.
