As the topic says.. What is the one thing you would change about MxO?
For me there are a number of things but I will pick something basic that would help alot from the beginning to the end.
I would do away with the Class Tier system that is in place now and allow people to choose what they wanted to be at the start ( could still load / unload like now ). This would allow more combat abilities , more animations and overall more fun combat. Take a Martial Artist as an example - Lets say someone picks Kung Fu - They start out as a Apprentice and get basic Kung Fu kicks and punches - Now as they level up they become Initiates , Veterans , Masters and then Grandmasters while at the same time getting more and more combat abilites to use ( Ones that can be used anytime and others that need a pre-req ).
Now spread that across the other classes. This would allow people to start out with what they want and then with all of the other abilities to use would make combat more fun.
Now its too late to do something like that now but that is how I would have done it.
Just a FYI.. Sony came to their senses with EQ2 and removed the tier system there..

I'd of probably modified max health alot more, given Hackers closer to the minimum, and of given things like MA more health from their title buffs and such.
But maybe I just play WoW too much.
Also a close tie is making NPCs of diffrent orgs attacking each other. There needs to be more of that. Maybe it's do-able with just making the NPCs of different orgs enraged and near each other.
:O AND AN IDEA WAS BORN

I would make the world more hostile and everyone would be red to everyone.
Basically you could flag people, crews, factions or orgs as allies. By doing this they would no longer show as red. So i could add only certain people on my list and they would not be red or i could add my whole crew or say faction and they wouldn't be red. Or i could add my whole org or even other orgs crews or factions.
This would bring diplomacy out in everyone and even those on your org who annoy you would be fair game. Additionally alliances would mean something. To avoid abuse i would consider having the list for each character only be updated once per week on server reset or another pre determined amount of time.
This is how determining who is hostile should be.

If I had to choose one thing, it would be to add a "Lock" function to the right click menu on inventory items.

I would have made the game world (beautiful though it is) with less limits. For instance I'd have walls, ceilings and things made with navmesh to enable proper wall-running manoeuvres. I'd also like to see certain IL moves given a jump property so that you could actually kick people off buildings and things like that.

I'd force the devs to release EVERYthing they haven't realeased, due to bugs, etc. It won't matter if the game crashes or not, MxO will live through a 3rd renaissance at that point ... for a month, then it dies.

Pre-subscription moron filter. In reality, a worthy budget to allow Rarebit the run of a game he so clearly loves as much as the rest of us.

Right now, the feasible thing I'd like to see done is that stupid NPC interlock spam fixed. It's really hard to play a hacker when you're getting pulled into interlock every second. Idealistically, I think I'd agree with Gami, and I'd like to see the LET back.

I'd make SOE realize that you have to spend money in order to make money. i.e. Increased budget/advertising/publicity/marketing/development/etc.
