I used to PVP in my red gi all the time, but don't want to anymore.  :( It doesn't look as pretty, really.

It doesn't look like that thought, a half joke about getting pants on them and *whoosh* done and ready for patch.  No indication he was truly serious about doing it seeing as he made a pink Gi for the occasion aswell as a new Tattoo, it could have been added to the thread with the other stuff planned for Update 60, see what everyone else thought.

I am not saying Rarebit is doing a bad job, but he isn't a god and he makes mistakes and I think it is a mistake to not give the part of the community that actually liked the Gi as it was a chance to say why it shouldn't be changed.

I like the Legging idea, that way if they were ever to release the MA Gi, people could still use their normal MA pants and then they can put on the Gi Pant/Leggings if they wish.  It also leaves the colour matching search for normal Gis.

Why not have those pants as a Legging model (As has been suggested) then you can even accessorise them with all the miniskirts you wear so you can even maintain your dignity when PvPing in them.

This change to the model doesn't really affect me one way or another, but it seems arbitrary and unnecessary. Females already have the "tunic and pants" dress set, so we don't exactly need the Gi look to give us a martial-arts feel. Furthermore, I notice nothing was really done about the cleavage of the gi, so this really doesn't deskankify it, and frankly it wasn't the most revealing piece of clothing either. The shiny backless body suits and miniskirts seem worse.

If you want to make clothing changes, how about getting rid of some of those disgusting rocawear models?

Pylat's got the best suggestion I've seen in years. YES, the pants should be something to go in the leggings slot, not physically attached to the Gi.

lol

i will like 2 remind everyone once again, this game is called "the matrix online" based on a trilogy that was rated r for violent content, sexual content and language. now having said that; we should not be talking about changing or getting rid of ANYTHING!

the game is supposed to be sexy

the game is supposed to be gothic

the game is supposed to be cyberpunk

if anything, we need more sexier clothing, more gothic situations, and more more more cyber punk in this game.

watch the matrix movies, watch the animatrix short films, read the 2 graphic novels and ask urself; if there is anything, anything at all that u didnt like about any of it. then i ask u; why are u in this game?

im becoming annoyed with people who think the gi was silly, too revealing or whatever. it is in the films as it was depicted in the game

it should be changed back asap, if u dont like it, get over it.

Well it wasn't actually my idea, so I take no credit for coming up with it originally. But I certainly think it is the best solution that will appease all people involved.

Not to jump the gun here, but if that were possible wouldn't we................. have that already?

How many of you are actually female, and therefore, have any right to feel that it "makes you look objectified" or whatever?

No offense, but if you want to pull that excuse out I'm going to complain that men are overlooked cause we only have 7 clothing slots and can't wear boxers despite there being constant requests for them.

I agree with you, so.... yeah.  Go ahead.

And if  you'd read, I'm pulling the Uterus Card in FAVOR of the old gi, because I own a gi that short.  When fighting, I wear workout shorts under it (they're a lot like biking shots, or sliding shorts)  Also, I know this will blow your minds, but panties and a bikini cover the same area (I KNOW AMIRITE WOW!).  Fear of being seen in your underwear is a bizarre societal construct, seeing as we walk on the beach all the time in even less.
