Neo masks? lol

We are getting some new additions, but they don't want to give it away too soon!

It's not tense around here W.  If someone is a moron, we redpills should be able to tell him..."Hey, you're a moron."  Of course, if someone calls me a moron after this, I'm telling.   It's not my fault they don't understand the concept of supergrowth and  PLCs etc. I'm curious though; assuming current per average player costs how many people (on average)  would a group of say 10 have to bring in to take MxO up a notch in the budget department.  And, what effect would paying for an advertisement spot bring to the game i.e. where would that money go?

Don't worry, I'll leave them alone.  You know I won't kill them W, just want to see how much they would cry.

But the old masks are tradable now. It shouldn't be *too* hard to accumulate them all.

Which makes people having to go NPC spawn killing for old content even more of a let down. Whatever happened to trying to give us actual new content? Yes there are some new (as in not seen in game before)  things in this event (apparently), but that still doesn't mean we have to have the old stuff recycled as is. Sure, use the spawns but drop NEW masks. The old masks are just that, old, so shouldn't be offered as "main" content for this event, it should be something people can get as an additional extra (through vendors), while everyone can then go and get new masks via the old method.

From the hints dropped so far, by Walrus and Rarebit, the majority of this event's content is old content - items that were developed during Beta/early live and so forth now being put in to use. But is there going to be actual new content (stuff developed specifically for this event)? I wonder if we even have an art department working on this game at times, from the current appearance of things, it doesn't look like it. So can we really expect to see anything NEW in this event? Really?

As for "Boomsticks" that's from Evil Dead 3 - The Army of Darkness.

Nice OSOTLG wally!

Had updates on lingering concerns and thoughts (fan art and ads)

Had a nice 'keep it friendly folks' bit.

Had solid-ish info on upcoming developments.

All good.

Only things i found slightly dissapointing (though theres also next week) is the lack of info on the new object type and the no word on that quick start guide. What happened to it? It is still on the ladder?

Also, TONE DOWN THE DoT ANIMATION! AND MAKE USE OF THE WORLD EVENTS BUTTON AND ICON! (see appropriate general discussion threads)

hehe.

Anyone else listen to the podcast?

When talking about MxO and the haloween event, they said "sources close to the project are saying that it will contain zombies" - paraphrased.

Those jack o' lanterns were a great way of delivering NPC's. They should be used, in different forms, elsewhere.

I'm also going to point out this:

Also, and I can hear the groans already, blood and/or gore in the work will prevent it from being posted as well. I know, I know--there was plenty in the movies, but this is a T-rated game, so it won't fly.

So what is that? Ketchup? So a T-rated game is allowed to at least allude to blood in it's very own cinematic content, but players cannot allude to blood in their art if they want it considered for hosting? Hmmz0rz.

I think the dude on the floor with no limbs is a better example, but your point still stands, lol.

Ah but that shot with him on the floor didn't show anything that clearly is supposed to be "blood." Whereas that screen shot is a classic comic book style image that shows the use of blood.
