I used Kung Fu all the way up to lvl 50 and it isn't a bad tree to move up with. I also used Hacker for constructs and started using Coder fairly early to make my own abilities. If you are going to start using Coder lvl 20 is probably the best level to start. All you should do is start looking for signal boosters and use them. Also get some buffed clothing. Coder clothing is a little hard to come by. I've only obtained I think 3 items without have to buy them from someone, but it is something you will need. Here is a website that lists a lot of the MxO clothing and I think it is awesome, especially for narrowing down what you are looking for http://www.mxoclothing.com.
As far as ability crafting goes you shouldn't need more than 10 pts. extra. Eventually as you get into it you will want to start decompiling and repairing. In that case more buffs is better. P.S. You don't need to worry about attribute points.
