A lawsuit against our registered city business would ordinarily be of little concern, but if Wright Research continues to press their case against Pendhurst-Amaranth, blaming them for a break-in by Mauser, who they say was working for us, it will make it much more difficult to take advantage of the assistance that Ms. Utley has promised us in investigating Mauser's activities inside the simulation. It is very important that we stay on top of this developing situation.
Zion posing as a lucrative business? Oh how cute, its almost like going to the circus and seeing one of those monkeys with a top hat on...
((OOC: Very intriguing event, it seems your going very much in the right direction these days Rarebit, now to get a kind of event like this on Recursion ))
That Wright representative sounded annoying, oh well. On behalf of Zion, I can say that we intend to beat this case and prove that Wright Research Accusations Are utterly false and groundless.
Aww Tranque, what is the matter? you mad because The Merovingian has had data stolen from him twice and that the Machines are kicking his and your arse all over the place? sounds to me like your just a poor loser, I guess you better look next time.
((This is cool, I am intrigued as to where this is going ))
I believe Villemar was correct in his quote in a previous event discussion, therefore I don't think he will mind me applying it to this one,
"....Everything has its season, and the tables will turn soon enough. Let those who see only what is right in front of their nose enjoy their short time mocking my current notoriety; to those such as you and I, who see further, it is all part of a larger plan." - Message from The Merovingian to Villemar, 20 March 2006
As you see, the merovingian didn't launch fullscale attacks on the cypherites, and when he was face to face with Cryptos he didn't pull out a gun and start turning the office into swiss cheese. He diplomatically and peacefully resolved it, but you Zionites would hate to see past the propoganda that you eat up so greedily. If you are going to make the Merovingian look like a typical savage defeated villain, I would highly suggest getting some actual proof of this.
The fact that you even assign a good/evil or winner/loser label insinuates you aren't quite matured to the world around you as of yet, and in time, I do hope you will learn that no person is pure "evil" nor is anyone pure "good", those are childish labels used by those of lesser minds to comprehend the world around them.
And let me ask you a question.. Which of the 5 organizations has been more active in investigating the colony. And no, I do not mean stealing data from an organization actually doing their work.

I was starting to think it was never going to happen, but Zion finally got a change of pace from the usual events on Syntax. Thanks, Rarebit! This still wasn't nearly as cool as some of the events the Machinists have had, but you're going in the right direction.

((I agree with the other comments made in this thread: this was a welcome change of pace for Zion. Whilst we might not have exploited it as best we could, I think Zion coped admirably under the circumstances and the rarety of these types of events for us.))
Wright is not so naive as to expect this claim to succeed. I am sure they are well aware of the current situation with Mauser, and that neither Zion nor P-A have any influence on Mauser's actions. There must be some ulterior motive to this move... Might they be seeking to acquire restrictions on P-A/Zion cooperation?
It is obvious that Wright Research had no interest in mediation and I wonder if the mediator was ever enpowered to resolve this matter, should they have determined that there was no case to answer. If I am correct, then this meeting was nothing more than a pre-trial review where Wright Reasearch were able to acquire early disclosure of how P-A would be mounting their defence. Ms. Utley would have been better served to have kept her "cards" close to her chest.

Why thank you Tranque for completely wasting your breath and actually becoming a humorless idiot, never heard of taking a joke in stride? Guess not. Instead you decided to gas away saying how perfect the Merovingian is and how the other orgs are not, I'm so glad not everyone is as serious and boring as you.

So, Zion is going to court...
Courts equal the Law which equals The System which equals the Machines...
or, there could be some lawyer or judge whose palms have been greased by a certain foreign investor...
or something all together different...
This is more dangerous than it looks. Too many variables could come into play, and we're stuck playing by the rules of a world most of us walked out on a long time ago

My apologies if I tend to take insults to my repute as an insult. Second, you are once more showing your slight ignorance in the fact that you are assigning a "Good/Evil Perfect/Imperfect" label. As I previously stated, I do not believe that one man is pure perfect or purely ehh defective. The Merovingian is included within this system. The Merovingian has made his mistakes yet so has Niobe and Gray and all the other idols of our day. Second, I think you need to reform your attitude a bit because insulting me, then expecting a lacktherof of response, then insulting me once you find I make a reasonable arguement and completely skewing what I was saying doesn't lend well to how the public may view your views on the world. In any case, I have some business to attend to, so I will let you have the last word, and have a good evening.

For starters, You actually insulted me first when you compared me and my Organisation to a Monkey in a Top hat and second despite the fact that the World and the people in it are a shade of grey, there is a war going between the 5 organisations to Control the Matrix or to at least control events within it, and one of the ways of controlling how people think is the use of propaganda, so don't tell me you have escaped the influence of your organisation's propaganda completely because that would be a lie.
