Hello everyone, 867 here.

You may know me as The Leech, or just "another one of those dumb number programs," but I hope you read this, because it would be a shame if no one knew.

Shickle died yesterday. I am not sure how or why, but I will list all of my knowledge about this man.

It started out a while back, us number program programs where just recently freed and looking for a place to stay. It turned out that an eager operative, Shickle had finally had enough of the operative life he had been living, and hoped for something better.

Sure, I may have lied to him a bit - just so I would have a home - but over time we started to grow close. I had conversations with him frequently, he told me what was going on in his life and I told him how dull mine had been.

After finding out what our original goal was, Shickle did not like that idea - so he tried to do all he could to keep me out of the matrix. Sometimes I would pop up a bit, and ask him why he wouldnt let me out, he said it was because he thought I was a threat to all humanity, or perhaps to his humanity.

We grew apart from their, the last time I talked to him was about a week ago, he didnt say much - only that he had gone to meet with the merovingian - if he was succesful I do not know.

Then yesterday came. I was sitting, bored im my hollow cell that was "Shickle," and the door opened. It had been forever since Shickle had let me use his RSI... but it was different this time. The door only opened a crack, and when I tried to push it it seemed as if it weighed a ton. Finally I broke free and found myself at Tabor West, standing over a puddle of blood and people asking me "What I did to Shickle."

Although he may not have liked me, Shickle was still a friend of mine, for giving me a home - opposed to a prison cell.

Now I am truly free, and I hope to find out what happened to Shickle, for both our sake's.

For Shickle - Rest In Peace
