Sorry for the above ghost post. My computer has been freezing up on me.

I have a question for you gun-wielding experts. How effective is the cone attack for the scattershot tree? I have noticed this is the only other tree beside hacker that can attack multiple opponents at once. I have asked a few players online but the reviews about scattershot were not too good. I've heard that it does minimal damage and wastes too much IS. Now I am only interested in this tree for its cone attacks. I currently load assassin, & as you know inflicting damage is not a problem. The problem comes when encountered with multiple pc's. Now I can easily get around that with the use of my spy abilities but I would like other options also, especially for npc style missions. Any input would be appreciated. Again, my only interest would be as a supplement to assassin & for its cone attacks. Playing hacker at this time would not really be an option of my character.

Not true:

Proxy coder lets you summon up a sim, send him to fight one person, and you can attack another with viral attacks/free fire.

Karate and Aikido have area effect attacks, Ki Burst and Swirling Ki Summon.

I never see any SMG Specialists in PvP anymore. The only thing I ever see is MKTs with Dual Subs loaded to boost their RCT with the Collector item.. Clamors, I think.

SMG's alone are not the greatest but they do have their streangths. suppression fire is great because well root for 30sec and it affects a cone, and then Full Auto Redux does 800base dmg and nice debuffs

when combined with Kung Fu it works out very well and you can take on anyone but a few hackers (cause you cant fit VD

Thats probaly PvP wise.

If we're talking mission/duel wise I'd say duelist and scattershot. I love that combination. The stun and the other debuffs from duelist are perfect. Get your oppenent dazed and you'll do, as Archangel said, 800 based damage with Full Auto Redux.
