Give Mave his boxers, Tony his Seraph's suit, and pls give me the keys to Club Hel at least on May 8th so I can administer our 5th annual LET Club Hel Party.  Which admittedly wont be the same without you.  SMILEY  SMILEY

... Not good but understandable... everything that has an end has a new beginning. I hope the interesting surprise stuff involves what I think it could involve, would be awesome SMILEY All the best to you Rarebit in any future projects you'll work on and as there's been said before this post - your zeal and imagination kept the game good and the storyline was aside from a few things very very interesting... now we'll see what's in store for us as Sati sets over the Mega city and the cold night draws near.

RAREBIT! LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO!!!

I have to say, I think this will probably one of the most expensive forum threads EVER!

But, to say a thank you for everything you've done for the game, for making it better and for putting up with us lot, it's worth it. Without what you've done I don't think I would have played for as long as I did and still wouldn't keep working on the little random things I do.

It's a really sad day for mxo reading this. But, I have to say it has been an absolute PLEASURE to work with you on different projects.

Take care and feel free to drop by our forum any time! (meaning http://www.fallenhorizon.org/forums SMILEY)

All the best Rarebit and good luck for the future!

Everyonce in awhile someone comes along who changes everything. and i think its safe to say you can probly be lumped into that statement.

over the years youve been that thorn that pushes us all on to try harder, constantly moving the goal posts and providing a unique challange you just dont get in most games. cause were not just trying to beat a game with set rules and a definative end , were trying to get inside your mind , to figure out what move your gonna make next and what we can do to affect that.

thats how ive come to see the game, its like this big chess board, all about having the right peices in the right places at the right time, and i dont think we could of asked for a more worthy opponent. when alls said and done i think its fair to say that youve served your time and no one can denie youve done more than your fair share. i think thats about all there is to say so ill just say, so long and thanks for all the fish.

I dunno if I'm right about it, but it seems to me like Rarebit himself didn't expect to leave just now. It looks like a really fresh decision. But that's just my impression.

It does seem that way to me also;

Things don't always go according to plan. This new year brought me a series of surprises--surprises that have led me to conclude that after ten years in the game industry--seven of those on The Matrix Online--it is time for me to go.

Whatever reason it is for you wishing to leave the game industry, I am sure it is for the right reasons, and because YOU felt like you had to leave it behind and not because it seemed like the only viable option to whatever reasoning was behind it.  It is a shame really, because unlike the music and movie industry the game industry is still growing extreamly fast, with more and more opportunities opening up all the time to make some big bucks (Look at the demand in Smartphone game market in the recent months), seems to be one of the safest industries to be in at the moment.

I am a tad reluctant to start brown-nosing like a few others, but I will just say that (even though I personally havn't jacked in to the matrix for quite a few seasons, I have watched from the sidelines as to speak) you helped delay this scenario for a good 18-24months, you gave many people the thrill of logging on and pertaking in the ongoing story of The Matrix, competiting for prizes and recognition from yourself and the community. Yes there hasn't always been happiness, there has been conflict over the identities over those that have been in LESIG, leaks of event plans and details and various of other mishaps. But overall, it hasn't been a bad experiance, we all wish there was more, but isn't the grass always greener on the other side?

Guess a thank you to you is in order also.

Rare,

Wow!  I knew something was up when you announced about the cutting back on live events....

Thank you for all the time and work that you put on The Matrix Online.   MxO would not be what it is without you behind it.  Thank you for EVERYTHING!

I hope you dont quit the gaming industry at all.  There are several reports that gaming had more sales than DVDs last year.  Like Unitoxic said, the gaming industry is booming right now... i hope you take advantage of those 10 years of experience.  Do not give up cause of this prio

See you out there!

I thought it was just a cruel joke....had to see for myself.  Never thought this day would ever come.  I thought the game would die, be cremated, die again, then dumped in the bowels of hell before you would ever quit.  I wish you the best.  We will never forget you or everything you have done for this game.

Rarebit,

Thanks for all the good times you created for me and mine in MxO.  This game could have been really amazing but I understand the hurdles.  I have had a blast and met some really amazing people.  You did a great job keeping it afloat.  I wish you all the best in whatever you do personally and professionally.  It obviously won't be the same without you but if it's alive, I may stop in every now and then to see what's the haps.  Anyway, take care and thanks for the memories.

Oh balls.

I hope you'll understand that words cannot express my deepest regret that you are leaving MxO and the game industry, Rarebit.  You were an OUTSTANDING asset to this game and I know it wouldn't have been the same without you.

Would it be too much to tell you I love you?  Yes, no?  Well, take that how you wish, I guess.

Please keep in touch.  <3

This is kind of a shock, I guess.

Well - for what it is worth Benny - I loved you and hated you at the same time. It was fun meeting you at Fan Faire 08.  You are still pretty hawt looking. Heehee.

May your endevors out there be good ones, maybe you'll get to make your own title someday and it will be a big hit.

Be Seeing You

Can't say as I had much interaction. One Agent Grey meeting and one visit with the Oracle, tho'. Those were pretty neat.

Well. Bye.
