Operatives consulted the cryptic Mr. Po in Kowloon to see if his unique method of insight could be of use in obtaining a certain kill-code for somewhat more prescient program. Although the operatives were initially uncertain as to how to proceed with the tight-lipped Exile, after helping Po fight off an attempted attack by a Great Wall Security team from rival neighborhood Shirakaba, better progress was made--or, at any rate, questions and responses flowed more freely. Whether or not any of his proverbs concerning rodents and birds have any real present or future value remains to be seen. It is clear, however, that Po himself does not have the means to provide the needed code.
I heard there was a Zion event on Vector on the 31st, but I don't see it listed on this forum.
I'm impressed with Banshae, I could hear the Scot accent.
I expect we'll see Mr.Po again soon, no doubt the Cypherites will want to hit him up
Very nice event I wasnt expecting the Gaurds at all.
(Heh... "Good Luck." That was slick. I liked the little interplay with the International gang violence there right in the middle of it.)
Perhaps those patrolling the skies also avoid detection by hiding underground.... Say in a certain sink-hole reported in the previous edition of the Sentinel.
Westview perhaps.
The General has a military mind - unlike Anome's psychotic randomness. He will not fall for any simple ploy. He must be tracked with stealth as his hawks circle the skies watching operatives scurry about. As it is, his new Elite Commandos don't show up on our operators' screens.
The General is up to something. We must make him think it isn't working to force him to make another move... hopefully revealing the pattern to his plan.
"To the Bird in flight all mice look alike" suggests to me that perhaps we can track the commandos operations if we look like them. *looks for his beret*
As for making him think that this plan isn't working. What happens when something doesn't work... nothing. So act like normal. Perhaps a machine report saying powerlevels after an initial dip are back to normal as people adjust to the lack of sun. Perhaps convincing the exiles to try and stay calm.
Medieval siege anyone?
Well Niobe and Ghost were in game that night but you got to understand it was on Vector and it was for Zion so the event.... really wasn't an event.
Quick overview for you though... Niobe came in and asked for Zion operatives to spread out throughout Megacity... Downtown, Richland, Intl, Westview. Each area had a Zion operative which would take reports from all the other zion in the area. All of Zion was tasked to track down the flight paths of the General's copters. At the same time this was going on there were random spawns of the General's soldiers and we were asked to make note of where those took place as well. When all this was done we were told to submit it to the LO. Seemed like a huge undertaking, we were told by Niobe to expect to be on for the next 6 hours or so tracking flight plans and what not. So we are expecting something huge to come of this massive outpouring of Zion cooperation and work. With orders given out Niobe and Ghost logged off for the night, as did the LO.
Needless to say tracking some of the copters proved difficult because of their long flight paths and how fast they traveled, but we persevered and spent I'd say every bit of the 6 hours doing it. We contstructed an excellent mapped out diagram and submitted it to the LO, flight patterns and paths, suspicious places/buildings where the copters seemed to migrate too, major spawn points for the general's men. You know you figure you get tasked to do something this huge and monumental that it will proably result in something.... Well we recieved an email back from the LO that said great job, and were told to check with Tyndall next time your inside the matrix. The next Crit we recieved last Thur. basically said thanks to our Zion operatives tracking the flight plan we were able to pinpoint a location to start our search. The mission starts and you are spawned to some random buildilng in whatever district you are in.
I mean I'm glad that Zion on Vector got to see their Live Event Charaters for the few minutes they were in game, but the event as a whole was disappointing, at least compared to the others that have been happening for other orgs as of late. Spend tons of time tracking down copters, mapping out courses, suspected source areas, spawn points, etc. expecting to see a result and in the end you realize it wouldn't of mattered what you did because the results would of been the same no matter what.
Didn't even make the boards
Yeah that night, I think in the back of my head, I could hear the dev's giggling softly to themselves with amusement...
Ohh one more thing that I need to add... The LO Soluma did an excellent excellent job of contacting her Zion operatives and getting them involved in this event. No joke on that one at all. Very good quality work on that part, so bit KUDOS to her
